Its a sencor, daylight detector,
basically its funtion is to detect the time of day and set the background light on your LCD screen to save battery life.

System could be corrupted.

You can hard reset the phone (Factory Settings)
This will reinstall the operating system inside the phone back to how it first was.
(internal memory gets formatted then the rom reloads the os back)
(Solves all kinds of problems.)

Switch the phone "OFF"
Hold "3" (button) + "Green Call" (button) + "*" (star button)
Switch the phone "ON" while holding the above three buttons.
Continue holding for about 20 seconds then let go.

Please note this will format all the saved information stored in phone memory.

there is no way to get your password back...
just format your phone and this will remove the password option....but you will loost all the data stored on your phone....but data on MMC will be safe...

go to themes>edit>custom wallpaer (or something same)>browse to your chosen wallpaper...

give it a try,, and let me know...

1 st press top left button and then quickly press *(star button) u r key pad will be locked...

if u want to lock u r phone with any security code....u can do it by phone setting /security settings/

try connecting your phone to pc using your nokia pc suite, theres the easy way to get your picture or video , etc..

Most users will think you got a phone virus but actually they aren't that harmfull. You need to check the card however. Try to connect it to a card reader at your computer or in another phone to see if your files are still there. If the files are intact, or if the card works properly (try to copy something to it, then copy same file back to the device) maybe the problem is with your phone. Try to reset the phone to factory defaults. Before that please save all important documents or contacts because this will erase them and put the phone in the same status as it was when you bought it.
