Frequent knocking noise coming from

Hello, it depends where the sound is coming from,if it's in the supply water line it could be caused by water hamer or the inlet side of the solenoid valve might be clogged up with sediment. Water hammer is when the solenoid closes under high water pressure and a water hammer arresters should be installed. If the sound is coming directly from the solenoid valve and is more of a chattering sound then there is a loose low voltage wire or the solenoid is going bad. If you disconnect the power to the solenoid and the chattering stops then solenoid must be replaced as it is the cause of the noise.

Water flow ok to side valve. no waer flow to top

Replacing this solinoid valve is not hard to do. This is something the homeowner can accomplished with small hand tools. Turn power off at the furnace and the inlet water off at the saddle valve.Remove the water line at the valve and the connector exiting the valve. Remove the two screws and the valve is off the unit. Armed with the make and model number of the unit goggle the manufacture with the model number and order your replacement valve on-line. Install the new valve opposite of which the old valve was removed or per manufactures instructions that may come with the new valve you orderd.

Water supply into 1042LH humidifier

Hi,
To get the humidity to rise more or faster, turn the "fan" switch on the t-stat to "on" and run the fan more...
The humidifier only adds moisture to the air when the air is moving through it and the air will only move through it when the blower is moving the air...
Depending on the heat loss of the house and the capacity of the heater, the fan may have to be run extra to get enough moisture to the house...the run time of the furnace it's self may not be enough...

Play around with it and see what it needs...only you know exactly what humidity you are looking for...you have the equipment to get it there you just need to figure out what the combinations are to get it there...

Cannot get relative humidity level above 26. Last

Make sure damper dial on humidifier if open, winter. Also most humidifiers recommend to supply unit with hot water instead of cold (evaporates faster).
