Verify your Windows operating system first is it is a 32 bit version or 64 bit version. Go to: Start-->Right click on Computer or My Computer and select Properties. Look for the System Type. If it says 32bit then all you need to do is download Palm Desktop 6.2.2 (Download Here) and a 3rd party program from Pimlico Software located here: http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/, and look for a free program at the bottom of the page called: "PalmHotSyncSetup".

If you have a 64bit OS below is the only two options you have to sync your Palm OS device. If your computer does not have a Bluetooth or IR adaptor be sure to get one that is compatible to the PC you are using.

Now if your handheld has a Bluetooth radio you can hotsync though this and not have to worry if you have a 32bit or 64bit OS. To set this up download Palm Desktop 6.2.2 and then look up this link: http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/49229_en.html. Depending on your PC you may need to buy a Bluetooth dongle or adaptor. Be sure to get one that is compatible with your system.

If you have Infrared connetion. This is for the older handheld that do not have Bluetooth. You will need to have an IR port on your computer or find an IR dongle or adaptor for your PC as well. You most likely have to get rid of the software you added. Either it is the last one or (and this is annoying) one of the other ones. ;-]

What happens normally is that one of the library files isn't quite the same but has the same name ie newer version or older. So the first thing to try is to get rid of the last program. You may have to do a hard reset/restore and then load the programs back on one at a time. The real annoying part is sometimes you can get all of the programs on and working just by installing in a different order.

I found the desktop program for this at free downloads,its called Desktop Manager and it will add a hot sync for you. Make sure you chose the right model. Good luck.

because what acts as cmos battery inside your phone is expired too. open phone and replace it. otherwise problem will stay.

After the batteries are used for so long they will not hold their charge. When they do this the battery needs to be replaced. Here is also a link to the palm free chat that Palm offers. They may be able to give you some more insight as to what options you may have to get it fixed. Scroll to the bottom of the page once it loads and you will see palm chat. I checked the palm website and they don't have an actual support page for your model. My best recommendation is to contact the Palm free chat service. Here is a link but I am not sure they can help you but it is worth a try. Like I said it is free and I have used it myself with very good service from the palm people. UNfortunately the problem is that vista doesn'y support hotsyncing on older palms.

Your palm is dead. Leave it in rice with FRESH batteries for a week. If that doesn't work, then your palm needs to be replaced. See the newer models here: http://www.palm.com/

Did you try a reset holding the power button?
This will erase your data and apps, and if it still doesn't work, you can replace your digitizer.

Try recalibrating the digitizer:

Go to: Preferences -> Touchscreen
then go through the touch sequence

If that doesn't help, try a soft reset by pressing the "reset" button on the back of the unit.

You supplied very little detail here on what you are starting with and what you hope to finish with. Are you synchronizing today and where does the data reside on your PC - in Palm Desktop? If you have all your data in the m105 and wish your Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Memos to synchronize with your Outlook profile, then install the Desktop software that come with the m105. You will be given the option to synchronize with MS Outlook during the installation. Choose this. The data in your Outlook profile (root level folder only) will merge with the data inside the m105.

Get latest software from the web. Palm Desktop 4.1.4 is recommended for XP with an M105.

It may be due to a permissions issue on the workstation running the hot sync program

check the battery, set date & time, update firmware, reset factory settings

Does it switch off every time at exactly 20 minutes. I sounds like it has a timer on it?
