Hi, well you could reinstall the Firmware again, you could restore to factory settings, you could reinstall the software and drivers again for the camera only. Of course ONLY after backing up fully first.

If the Palm desktop software installed in your computer wont detect the device. There is a huge possiblity that you might have deleted a software inside the device essential for synching to the computer. Try to perform Soft reset first. Soft resets usually do not affect your personal data on your device. See procedure below:

1. Turn off wireless mode by pressing and holding the red Power/End key.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Take out the battery.
4. Put the battery back in.
5. Replace the battery cover.
6. After a soft reset, a logo screen appears, followed shortly by a Preferences screen asking you to set time and date.

If this will not work then you need to Hard reset the unit. A hard reset will erase everything on your device. All your data will be removed, and formats, preferences and other settings are restored to their factory default settings.

1. Press and hold the Power (on/off) button on the front panel of your device.
2. While holding Power, use an unfolded paper clip, or the reset tool at the tip of your stylus. Gently press and release the RESET button inside the hole on the back panel of your device
3. If you see a progress bar (see below), keep holding the Power button.
4. Next, the Palm Powered screen will appear. Release the Power button when you see it.
5. You'll see a screen that asks: Erase all data? YES = "up" button NO = any other button. Press UP on your 5-way navigator to complete the hard reset.

* Download and unzip to your SD Card (with HandZipper or a similar tool).
* Backup your data.
* Clear at least 15 MB of RAM space (best to simply hard reset).
* Copy/move all 44 files to RAM.
* Warm reset.
* If the updater doesn't start automatically, execute the "Device Customizer" application manually.

Try disabling Wireless Sync:

1. Go to Wireless Sync (IMS main menu).
2. Access the menu.
3. Choose Setup and then Connection Settings.
4. Click on Advanced... in the bottom right-hand corner.
5. Check the box that says "Enable other sync apps"
6. Exit Wireless Sync
7. Perform a HotSync, again.

You could try to turn the unit off completely, take the battery out, wait for few minutes and put them back and turn on to see anything better. This action helps to clear the memory of your unit.
If after you doing that problem still, i think you need the hard reset your Palm Treo. To do the hard reset, you need to back up all your data to the computer first, syns all contacts and files to your comp and perform the hard reset.( How to do hard reset could find in your manual)
In my experience, the palm treo is very sensitive handheld, the keys and touch screen easy to create the problem for you when you put your phone in the pocket with car keys or something. Try to avoid this.

These phones can be fully flashed if they are CDMA (no sim card) however on these phones the flash is very unstaible. You are much better off purchasing a new cricket phone, as you are guarenteed all of the features.

If you really want this phone flashed then you should look for an authorized cricket dealer or a store that flashes phones. Corporate locations (Full Service) do not flash phones.

Are you not able to turn it ON? If you have a USB cable try plugging the USB cable into a computer, then connect the phone to it. Use a personal computer, and hope that it will recognize the device, and if it dont, it still might charge/turn it on for you. Good Luck

There can be many ways to get your Unlock code. If your contract period is complete you can ask your cellular operator for the unlock code. But, they do make it very difficult for you to get the code.
You can also do for nearest mobile shop for unlock code and get code from there.
You can also visit http://www.theunlockspot.com/ and can see different options there to get unlock code for a price. Choose any price appropriate for you.

No help on the OJ. Dropping in any liquid while powered on is bad but sticky liquids will kill it even when it is off.
The other one might have had digitizer disconnected or broken from drop. You can try replacing the digitizer but it might not be the only problem.

Another option is to check eBay for replacements. A late model phone like that should be under $100.
