Hi, please check that your camera has a properly working Sd card. If the SD card is potentially damaged, then you would not be able to view the damaged contents on the camera. Please take a few test photos and see if the display photos returns. If not, then it might be time for a factory reset. Thank you.

For checking out the problems related to your Casio XJ-M255, I will suggest you check out the manual or download it and look at page 19 of the manual, all will become clear.

Because it is damaged, broken or otherwise rendered incapable of functioning. It needs repairing.

Go delayed photo mode and remove it.

NEVER remove or insert a memory card while the camera is powered up. The camera is probably shutting itself off to avoid damaging the data on the card.

Look in the manual for an entry under dioptre correction, or eyepiece adjustment.

Some cameras have a small dial near the viewfinder to correct for your vision or if you wear glasses. Look for that.

Hi - sorry but this is a very old camera - nice in its day (I had one) but now so out of date. Any camera which extends the lens is prone to disaster if the lens is knocked when extended - you don't need a grandson to do that either. Any slight fall will knock the lens out of alignment - each sections runs in a very fine twisting in/out circular track as they move - a knock will move all or part out of its track. Sometime you can be lucky and press (straighten) the lens so that its back in alignment - mostly not tho. Given its age, and the vastly improved cameras out there now at far cheaper prices that we paid 12-15 years ago, suggest you remove the memory card and battery, and give him the camera to play with!. Go get yourself a replacement - if you want a camera which does not extend the lens, that will sit flat in your pocket/purse, even when on, consider the likes (or similar) of the Sony Cybershot DSC-TX55. - great camera - (more like a powder compact as the lens does not extend.) I have one can so can recommend. Other brands have similar 'flat' cameras also. Save more dollars - find a nice secondhand one on ebay or similar. It's twelve years old - it's probably dropping gentle hints that you should be thinking of retiring it soon.

Either by using the appropriate menu function, for individual images, or (after backing them up) by formatting the card to delete all images.
