Did you ever get your answer? I'm trying to get one to quit pulling from the scan glass when it there's a doc in the ADF. When we load the ADF, the light comes on and everything! grr.

Hello,

I think the color ink in your printer is low or finished, that is why the print out are in black, i will advice you replace the color ink cartridge, in other to keep you moving.
You can get the color ink cartridge at either at amazon.com or ebay.com.

plese reinstall driver then u see problem not occurs

try scanning book mode (lift the feeder and use a single sheet) if it is ok clean the small glass on the left side.
or there may be some dust on the mirrors.

The parts manual is 4mb big .With the service manual it comes to 16 mb.send me a e-mail and i'll send the manual as a attachment.

check the datacable and first of all try loosing static charge and restart the system and now reinstall the required drivers

Have you tried uninstalling the scanner and reinstalling it? Do you have the original software for it. If you do not then you should be abe to obtain a driver download at this site:

If you need to download the driver, be sure to do a clean download which means you need to turn off the scanner and unplug it,to turn off all running programs to do this including virus control. Download the file and save it to your desktop then click on it to install. Restart your computer.

We have also seen that Adobe Acrobat doesn't produce very clear scans (with a range of scanners). Adobe gives very good pdf file size but it downsamples images.

Try cleaning the rubber rollers onder the cover where the documents feed in, using a rag and some rubbing alcohol.

please clean the glass of scanner with wet tissue paper and see ther is no mark of colour or any dust celan both the glass one the document adf and the flat one
