Ricoh cl4000
It is working now, however I had to have Ricoh come out they cleared up the error code and told me I needed a new transfer unit and black PCU. I got both items from a 3rd party and installed them problem did not go away. I called Ricoh, they sent their guy back out at n/c and he got it going after taking much of the machine apart but he was not very clear on exactly what caused the problem.
Prints a couple of pages - then jams
Well, for now it seems to be fixed - I opened up the paper tray and there is a little part that grabs the paper on the front of the tray - kinda sticky - I just took a paper cutter and put a couple of scratches on it and it is grabbing the paper for now. I do have some of those to use for replacements - but I had just changed it about a month ago and don't think it needed to be changed out again - they usually last quite a while. So, we'll see how long this lasts. We do a lot of printing on this thing and it has been a great printer - maybe we are just wearing it out!
Black lines down page
It must be the black pcu , the cleaning blade picks up dirt and causes these lines , it can also be the black developer giving you trouble , if you want be very carefull aand strip the pcu open you will see the lines only on the inside and not from outside , then you will know if it is developer or the cleaning blade

Sc 285 sur un photocopieur ricoh
You either have a torn ITB belt or a faulty ITB belt unit.
If this is not your problem then you could have a faulty ID sensor or a faulty PCU that is causing your Process Controll to fail and generate the SC285.
