I get a error 05 code on my precor treadmill C932/C964

Precor Error 05, Key Depressed at Power Up Probable Cause 1. A key is permanently depressed on the display. 2. An interface chip (IC) has failed in the upper PCA's keypad. 3. Liquid (cleaning solution or sweat) may be on the surface of a touch sensitive display. Corrective Action
  1. Disconnect the keypad cable from the upper PCA. Reset power to the machine. If the Error 05 is eliminated, the keypad is the cause and should be replaced.
  2. Disconnect the keypad cable from the upper PCA. Reset power to the machine. If the Error 05 still appears, the upper PCA* is the cause and should be replaced. *Upper PCA's most commonly do not come with software. Remove the software (chip) from the existing upper PCA prior to replacement and install into the new upper PCA.
  3. Wipe away all liquid from the touch sensitive display. Reset power to the unit. If the Error 05 is eliminated, the liquid was the cause.

Machine not working, there is no display on front panel

Several things you can try here. If the stops switch is stuck it will cause the display to be blank. There also may be a loose connection to the upper or lower board. You can remove the front cover and check the connections to the lower board. The upper display connection will look like a cat 5 cable. Unplug it and plug it back in. That same cable runs up and plugs into the upper board. Check that connection as well. If those don't work then it may be the lower PCA.

How do you get into the service menu of a precor 932i treadmill?

Typically on the Precor Treadmills if there are errors on the unit, you can press and hold the stop button for 3-5 seconds and it will go into the error log. Not sure what model you have.E-2 is not what normally shows up on the screen. Do you mean Error 2 was displayed? From what I have read on Error 2's it could be a upper PCA issue, or possibly a dip in AC input during the power up sequence.Treadmills require a dedicated line, meaning it is on its own dedicated circuit on your fuse panel/circuit breaker. What exactly is the treadmill doing? Is it constantly showing Error 2 on the screen? Call up Precor tech support. They will be able to give you advice, and or get you connected with an authorized Precor factory trained technician who will be able to get you back up and running.

Precor EFX 556 cross trainer slow startup

My precor efx556 does not detect pedaling, how can i fix it?

hello there, check if the lift control system is detected the lift is moving in the opposite direction of the issued lift command. This error would happen when the lift was already in motion (typically downward) when a lift command in the opposite direction (lift upward) was issued.

What causes a slow boot up on a Precor EFX 546?

A slow boot up on a Precor EFX 546 elliptical machine can be caused by several factors, including:
  1. Low battery voltage: If the battery voltage is low, the machine may take longer to boot up. This can be due to a weak or old battery, or a problem with the battery charger.
  2. Dirty or corroded contacts: Dirt, dust, or corrosion on the battery contacts or other electrical contacts can interfere with the machine's ability to start up quickly.
  3. Faulty console or display board: If the console or display board is malfunctioning, it may take longer for the machine to boot up or may not boot up at all.
  4. Loose or damaged cables or connections: Loose or damaged cables or connections can prevent the machine from starting up properly and may cause a slow boot up.
  5. Outdated software: If the software on the machine is outdated, it may take longer for the machine to boot up or it may not start up at all.
To troubleshoot a slow boot up on a Precor EFX 546, you can try the following steps:
  1. Check the battery voltage and replace the battery if necessary.
  2. Clean the contacts on the battery and other electrical components.
  3. Inspect the cables and connections for damage or looseness.
  4. Check for any error codes or messages on the console or display board and consult the user manual for troubleshooting steps.
  5. Check for any available software updates and install them if necessary.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact a professional technician for further assistance.

Precor 556i / AXGE....Problema with the resistance. Can anybody help me?

Hey Fabian, it's possible that the resistance motor or sensors on your wife's Precor 556i/AXGE may need to be recalibrated. Try powering off the machine, unplugging it for a minute, and then plugging it back in to see if that resets the calibration. If the problem persists, you can try recalibrating the machine manually. There should be instructions in the user manual or online. If that doesn't work, then contacting customer service or a certified technician may be necessary. I hope this helps!

Precor 9.45 reset safety switch message wont go away

If you have checked the safety switch on your Precor 9.45 treadmill and everything seems to be intact, and the "reset safety switch" message still won't go away, it's possible that the switch itself is faulty or the console is not receiving the signal from the switch. You can try cleaning the switch and the area around it, and also check the wires that connect the switch to the console to make sure they are not damaged. If the switch or wires appear to be damaged, they may need to be replaced. If cleaning and checking the switch and wires doesn't resolve the issue, it's recommended that you contact the manufacturer or a qualified repair technician to further diagnose and fix the problem. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or suggest other possible solutions.

I have a Precor TRM211 treadmill. Trouble with the console display.

This is an error code for 1 of 2 things. Something was spilt on the display causing a detected malfunction. Or, you are experiencing a power sag where the unit is plugged in. Try an isolated AC circuit. (Nothing else is ON or plugged in)

Precor treadmill making squeaking noise when running fast

Two likely candidates: Belt or tread. Lubricating the tread would be the easiest starting point; but if you're running at 7 or more you've probably already thought of that. If the cover isn't too difficult to remove, you can expose the drive belt and the squeaking volume change would be an indicator that the drive belt is the problem.
