Do you mean reset the printer software to show you have installed a new cartridge ? It is under the printer maintenance tab.

You should have a Smart Panel application installed with your Canon software - check your Start menu, All Programs, Canon for this application. Activate the Smart Panel and find the Printer Settings. Scroll through these until you find Ink Cartridges - you should see a colored bar indicating amount of ink usage.
