Lenovo Z570 powers on but screen is black

if you have an external monitor or a smart TV you can hook it up to that to see if it even works. If it works then you look real close to the screen of the laptop without it being hooked up to the external screens and see if there is a faint image on the screen or you can do this part first. If there is an image but still dark check to see if the brightness is turned down. On the keyboard you will see a sun and moon shape on the F keys just press the FN key with the key for the brightness for a few seconds if it doesn't come up you may need a new screen or power board for the laptop.

Lenovo z570 not powering on

Measure the voltage at the AC Adapter plug, and see if it is within 5-10% of the rated voltage. If the voltage is not correct, then the battery will most likely not be charging, and the system will drain the battery and die in the middle of what it was doing...booting in your case. You can tell how much voltage is remaining in your battery and if it is charging by checking the blinking of the battery status light. Download the Hardware Maintenance Manual here: http://download.lenovo.com/UserFiles/UserGuide/en/User%27s%20guides%20and%20manuals/Z370&Z470&Z570/Lenovo%20Z370Z470Z570%20Hardware%20Maintenance%20Manual%20V1.0.pdf and go to page 30 and look at item 7 under battery status for blinking light meaning. 1. Blinking amber: (500ms off/1s on) The remaining power of the battery is less than 5% of its capacity. 2. Blinking amber: (100ms off/3.2s on) The battery is being charged with the remaining power between 5% and 20% of its capacity. 3. Amber: The computer is operating on battery power with the remaining power between 5% and 20% of its capacity With the AC Adapter plugged in, and giving the correct voltage, If you are getting 1. Blinking Amber (light on for 1 sec, off for 1/2 second), then the battery is not being charged. Could be AC Adapter, Battery or Battery Circuit on motherboard. If the light is solid on 3. Amber, then the battery is not charging, and is draining. Also make sure the power socket on the laptop is not loose or damaged. If it is, then it will need to be replaced. I hope this gets you in the right direction.

Lenovo z570 screen blank when boots

Could be many issues, you need to give more information. Mine lenovo does the same thing when it boots. You might just need to wait for a little longer for the desktop top come up. Other than that, you might need to reinstall Windows.

Ideapad turns on but doesnt boot up

One problem that will cause this, and that is easy to check, is to look at the USB ports on the side of the laptop, and make sure they are not damaged or shorted out (with no pins touching each other). This will cause Lenovo laptops to fail the bootup.

I dont have a bios password key and i want to

Tricky you need to remove all power (including the on board battery) and leave for at least 24 - usually 48 hours. Then plug back in all batteries and you should be OK.

Your drivers can be found here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&DocID=HT072735 BE ADVISED: A BIOS update cannot be reversed easily , READ the instructions VERY carefully. One wrong step and you have a expensive paperweight.

Want to change compability to AHCI mode in lenovo z570 ideapad

This is a setting in you BIOS. Try changing to AUTO under the SATA drive settings by pressing F key during boot. It will be noted on screen during startup.I would stay away from a OS upgrade till your are certain all hardware and software is compatible. It is a lot of work if it does not work properly.

Power cord light is yellow not green

Hello,Yellow means your battery charge is low, and it is being charged.

Green means you have a full battery charge.

So probably it seems your battery is out of juice. Keep it on charges & it should be fine.If there is nothing changed, you may need to exchange the laptop charger.Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 AC Adapter

Hope this helps.
