the motor that causes the rotation of the glass has failed

check the fuse,the diode then magnetron for propper functionality

remove the button cover and clean beneath the buttons and remove all accumulated dirt that likely causes the failure.

possibly the diode is shorting. replace the diode before replacing the fuse

I guess its the control keyboard infront of your microwave.

It's my understanding that aluminum foil can reflect the RF energy back into the magnetron and causing it to overload and fail. If the oven turns on but does not heat the food, you can just about bet the magnetron is shot.

Thermistor it the top of the oven.. it get hot and the wires melt off.. when they go open the oven won't work

Check the microwave fuse. It is in a plastic fuse casing on a wire. The fuse is about 1/8 dia x 2inch. Be sure to replace it with exactly the same rating.
