LG LMV1813ST Microwave Oven Questions & Answers
Replaced the bulbs underneath now they won`t turn off
This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.
The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or stuck in "night light" mode. Sometimes this will similarly affect the fan operation or inside light, too.
The problem is on the controller assembly, which I regularly repair.
Details are here.
I also have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

LG LMV1813ST MIRCOWAVE STOPPED WORKING?
The fuse can be replaced, but the underlying issue should still be investigated and resolved. Otherwise the new fuse will blow also.
If the microwave is not working the thermal fuse may have blown.
When a microwave stops working the problem is usually the line fuse or within the high voltage circuit; either the high voltage capacitor, diode, transformer or magnetron.
Trip Circuit Breaker
The circuit breakers may both be functioning properly. What might be happening is that both circuits have other current drawing appliances on them. The circuit breakers react to the sum of all of the currents drawn by all of the devices on that circuit. So, if you have a 15 amp microwave and an 8 amp refrigerator on the same circuit, you would overload a 20 amp circuit by 3 amps. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at

My new LG solardome MA3884vc overheats melamine plate @30 seconds
If your LG Solardome microwave oven is overheating a melamine plate within 30 seconds, there could be a few potential issues at play:
- Power Settings: Check to see if the power settings on your microwave are too high. If it's set to a high power level, it can cause certain materials, like melamine, to overheat quickly. Try reducing the power level and see if that helps.
- Plate Material: Melamine plates are not suitable for use in microwave ovens as they can overheat and potentially release harmful chemicals into your food. It's recommended to use microwave-safe dishes made of glass, ceramic, or microwave-safe plastic.
- Microwave Performance: If the microwave is consistently overheating items within such a short time frame, it might indicate a malfunction. In this case, it's best to contact LG customer support or a certified technician to inspect and repair the microwave.
- Placement and Usage: Ensure that the plate is placed centrally on the turntable and not touching the sides of the microwave. Also, avoid using the microwave for extended periods without interruption, as this can cause overheating.
- Testing with Different Materials: Try using a microwave-safe ceramic or glass plate to see if the issue persists. If other materials heat up quickly as well, it could indicate a problem with the microwave itself.

Question moved from Building Materials to LG Microwave.
Take into an LG Service centre for repair. They are sealed by security screws and are dangerous inside. You won't be able to get parts.. If it is a counter top microwave and cost $60, just buy a new one as they are a disposable item.
