Hello
where can i know
Hi
There is 2 Usernames when it comes to Routers.
1st is the USERNAME and Password you use to get into the Router configurations which is the following.
Username: admin
Password: admin
The above username and password is the Factory setting and only the password can be changed by an user. SO if it was not changed the password will still be admin or you can reset the modem to reset the password back to admin.
2nd is the Username and Passsword you get from your Internet Service Provider which usually is the email address and whatever password you gave them to set your internet up
My laptop can't find the router
Hi Ted,
If your Laptop cant find your router there are things that you need to check to be able to know if the problem is caused by the router or by the computer. On your computer you can check if the wireless adapter is properly installed or check if the wireless switch is on. If your not familair with the wireless switch of your laptop you can refer to this
link. Just find the model of your laptop. Then after you enable the switch of your laptop you can check the Wireless Settings Page of the router if the wireless is enable.
To access your router you need a working computer connected to the router then
open a Browser then type 192.168.0.1. the username is admin and the password is blank. Go the the Wireless Settings Page and under Wireless Network Settings make sure that there is a Tick or a Check on Enable Wireless.
Rate me if this helps so i can help others.

My DI 524 keeps dropping out. I have reset the
there are a large number of reasons for wireless dropout on routers but in my experience they are almost always a sign of failure or imminent failure.
This model is quite old but should still be serviceable.
If it not the wireless side but your wired side then i would be looking at what you have connected to it and how those computers are set up
My own preference is to go to each computer and make sure it has its own IP etc and that the cable are not directly crossing any power cords etc (or at least as few as possible)
If it is just say one particular computer and if it is a wireless connection then maybe move the router either higher or to a more central location in the house.
Location of wireless routers is and can be a crucial factor in getting wireless to work around a house.
The setting on the router itself may also be an issue and to check those you may want to get a tech savvy friend or local tech into check it out for you.
There is always the option on a newer router too as they have developed quite a bit since that model and tend to offer much better security and better connectivity.
How do I log into my router config if I don't know
Hi vmontour,
To Factory reset your router you need to locate the Reset Button at the back of the router. The Reset Button is the small hole at the back and you need a Pen or a Paperclip to press it. Press and hold the reset button for 15-30 seconds. Make sure that the router is on when you reset it.
To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.0.1. the username is admin and the password is blank.
Rate me if this will help you so that i can help other people.

Hi i am using Dlink-615
Is this for child protection? I think it is. That would be the only reason to block a website. Try this. It's great and it's FREE!
Go to this link:
http://www1.k9webprotection.com/getk9/download-software
Get
license first. Register your information and do not worry it is protected and they are non-profit and do not sell your stuff...it's safe.
They will email your
license. In the email there is a link to download the software. Be sure that the email account that you are using no one knows your password (kids) because if you forget your password and request a reset they email you the temporary reset. K9 by default will protect your internet viewing to a very high standard. You can change the permissions, add exceptions, and grant temporary access when needed. It will even bark when an unauthorized website is trying to be accessed. Better yet, it logs all internet activity and allows you to view and monitor internet activity for that PC only. You need a separate
license for every pc. If this is not what you needed, I'm sorry. Try resetting your dlink router and starting fresh.
I have a D-Link 524
That doesn't seem right. When your wife connects, is she using wireless as well or is she on the LAN? You can attempt to change the channel inside the configuration utility in the d-link, but her logging on the LAN or wireless for that matter should not interfere with your performance at all. Weird. Many variables that could be causing this.
My router keeps skipping out of connection for
make sure your routers settings are correct ie:password user name, firewall settings to allow your internet to connect also test the lead/s whether usb or ethernet you might check your modem (if applicable)) first to make sure that you are getting a connection
last resort ring your ISP internet sevice provider get them to check your modem for internet access online
hope this helps
I have router i need to fix a password on my
In order to get your router back to the original settings, you must push
in the reset button (usually on the back of the router) for somewhere
between 10 and 30 seconds depending on the router. You may need a pin or
something small to push in the button, because it can be recessed. Once
you have reset the router, the username and password will be changed to
the defaults, admin and password, respectively. One thing you must
remember is that resetting the router will change all of the router
settings back to the factory settings. This means you will lose all of
the changes you made since you got the router. Make sure to write down
any things you've changed, so you can change them back after the reset.
Also, I recommend updating to the latest firmware after the reset.
If you need more help post back!
Thumbs and testimonial are welcome!
I have forgotten password so
There is Red colored reset button on back side of the router. Press and hold that button and release after 10 seconds. Now switch off the router, wait for 1 minute and restart it. I hope you are done.
Good Luck.
