Hi. What you can do is to reset the settings of your wireless router by pressing the RESET button of the device for about 5 seconds. By doing this, it restores the router to its original factory settings. The reset button can be found at the back of your wireless router, beside the receptor for the power adapter.Have a great day.

When i use my router,

I would suggest first unplugging the router and plugging it back in. If you have done this already and it does not work, I would suggest checking the cables in the back. If they are plugged in and you can get online with the modem plugged directly into the computer, then I suggest checking the settings by opening up your web browser and typing in the address bar "192.168.0.1" without the quotes. Put in "admin" for the username and leave the password blank. You should check your settings in here. If you don't know what to look for, find a paperclip or pin and press the reset button in the back of the router. This will set the router back to when it you bought it. You will have to go into that administration page mentioned before and configure your security and other settings you desire.

Why i-phone cant access?

I am going to give a few settings that have been known to solve connection issues on the DI524.

Please open a browser and navigate to your routers settings page (http://192.168.0.1 or something like that)

If you do not know what your routers IP address is, Click the start button, go to 'Run'
in the run line, type in 'cmd'

This will open up a black DOS command window. Type in 'ipconfig' and look at the line that says 'default gateway' 9.5 times out of 10 this is the IP address of your router.

Log into the unit with admin and your password (can't help you there) but the default setting is no password.. just leave it blank

1. On the Home tab of the WAN section. Lower MTU to 1472
2. On the Home tabl of the Wireless section. Uncheck "Auto Select" for the channel and set it to channel 11.
3. Enable WPA-TKIP 64bit

Unfortunately, I too own this router and it is currently sitting in my basement unused. I firmly believe that this unit has issues with apple devices. I could not get my iBook to connect for the life of me.

Post back your results and let me know if this helped.

Wlanapi.dll error 1628 on 3.8

this is a dynamic link library error . means that the wlanapi.dll is missing.
2. uninstall the router program and reinstall
3. check the trash to see if you have deleted this file. If so restore immediately.
4. do not empty trash bin you may have other dll files in there. If deleted will render your Windows inoperable.
5. this file is the file that load the wireless features in the router.

I have a DI-524 it

Hello,

Have you confirmed through your ISP your internet is up? You can also do this by connecting a computer straight to the modem. If your interne is fine then continue with the steps below.

The default IP address of the router is 192.168.0.1 unless you changed the default address. If you were not trying the default ip address, try it now to see if you can access the configuration page.

Try to power cycle all of your equipment to see if it resolves your connection issues.

Turn off your modem and router. After 10 seconds power on your modem. After 30 seconds power on your router. On your computer, renew your IP address. If you are using windows, do the following,

Go to start , click run and type "cmd" or "command". A DOS window should open.
type
> ipconfig /release
then type
> ipconfig /renew

Check your ip address, it should be a 192.xx.xx.xx ip address which is assigned by your router, unless you configured it to use a different range of addresses.

If you are still unable to connect, I would recommend a reset of the device. This will delete any settings on the router and return it to factory default. There is a reset button on the back of the router you can press and hold for 10 seconds(is is a very small button on far right). Afterwards, try and connect to it and configure.

Below is a link to the support page where you can find the router manual. Click on "product manual". It is nice to have handy.

How can I connect the ps3 to a wireless router

First, you need to configure the wireless adapter inside the D-Link router:
* set an SSID -- the "name" of your network
* set an encryption-level -- use 'WPA' or 'WPA2'
* set a password for your network.

Then, enter the SSID and the password on the PS3, to connect to your wireless network.

Hello, i have a D-link wireless router 802.11g/2.4

Hi there,
By reset I am assuming that you mean you've pressed the reset button on the back of the router for 30 seconds to return it to manufacturer's state?
If this is so, and you're still getting the same problem, You need a new router.
Sorry for the bad news, but routers only last for so long. ESPECIALLY D-link.

I plug it in and there is no power the light is

Hi stella_bella,

I see that your D-link Router will not turn on or power up as you mentioned.

If I may ask Have you tried a different power source / Outlet?
also try ti find a different adapter with the same wattage on it and see if the Router will power ON using a different Power Adapter.

When did you notice your D-link not powering ON? was there any power surges lately, that can cause Router or Modem to get busted or damaged if ever you were either online or if the Router was turned on during the power surge.

The only thing you can basically do is try a different Power outlet or power source and a different Power Adapter of the same wattage to avoid damaging the Router more.

I hop that this helps.

Have a nice day,

Cannot get into the web

Hi there,

first of all, I take it your getting to the login page? if not I will explain how to do that after this. If your on the page, the default username is admin and a blank password or username is user and no password. If these dont work then the defaults must have been changed at some point. To sort this you will need to reset the router, use the defaults and set it all up again.

If you cant get to the router page at all then what you need to do is connect to the router with a cable, wait til your computer gets a connection and go to control panel->network connections (XP) or control panel->network and sharing centre->advanced network settings (vista/7) then right click on the connected adapter and select "status" in the next box which appears select details and you will get a window which shows all of the settings of the network connection. The one you are looking for is the default gateway (it should be something like 192.168.0.1) If the area is blank then you are not getting an ip address from your router so a reset may be your best route) Open up your internet browser and type this address into the address bar (not the search box) and press enter, you should be presented with your routers webpage.

Hope this was some help.

How do i make the

All you have to do is connect to the router and secure the connection follow the following steps: -
First you have to access the router through web browser (Internet Explorer) by typing the IP address of your router in the address bar, which is 192.168.0.1 (Default router settings are written under the router)
(unless you've configured otherwise, the default username is admin and the password "leave it blank") and lookup for the options to do the following: -
1. Change the SSID (Name) of the router
2. Change the default administrative user name and password
(The above step would prevent unauthorized access to your router)

Next step is to secure it:
1.On the left-hand side, under Setup, click "Wireless Setup" 2.Under "Wireless Security Mode", select your desired encryption method (preferably WPA2-PSK)
3.Choose a Network Key - it can be anything, as long as it's 8-63 characters in length
4. Click Save Settings.
Now your router and your connection would become secure and the user has to provide the network key to access the internet.
Please, refer here to download the product guide/manual and make configurations as per the details provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!
