Latency time is more
Turn TWELVE of the devices off, and measure it again.
Turn one of the twelve on, and measure it again.
Turn on the next of the twelve, and measure it again.
Repeat until you find the one that increases the latency.

How to do password lock
Check out the manual at
http://www.retrevo.com/support/D-link-DWL-3200AP-manual/id/420ci562/t/2/Presumably you are asking about encryption and how to stop your neighbours and anyone else nearby picking up the signal from using your connection.
Most routers have an option to enter the mac address (which all wifi components have one of) to create a list of trusted devices the router will accept connections from, barring any that are not in the list.

I'm using d-link dwl-3200 ap
Transmitted Error Count 4734440
Ack Rcv failure Count 15269951
- As per the above there are error on Transmitting the packet
and also for receiving the acknowledge packet.
- Please check whether any
disturbance in the link
- Each PPP packet has a checksum attached to ensure
that the data being received is the data being sent. If the FCS of an incoming
packet is incorrect, the packet is dropped and the HDLC FCS count is increased.
- Another reason for seeing too many FCS errors may be that the remote end has
stopped talking PPP.

With Direct cable ,internet connection
This is most likely due to the still having the Media Access Control (MAC) address of the device that was previously connected the modem in NVRAM.
In order to clear this old MAC address, the easiest thing to do is to unplug the power cable from the modem for 15 to 20 minutes. This allows the NVRAM in the modem to clear and makes it able to accept the new MAC address of the router.
After the modem has been unplugged from the power for 15 to 20 minutes, plug the Ethernet cable of the router into the modem and plug the power cord back in to the modem. After the modem syncs back up to the network, it should add the MAC address of the WRT54GL router to its NVRAM and assign it an IP address. This should allow the router to connect your systems to the Internet.
Please be sure to rate my answer as a 3 or 4 thumbs up if you found it helpful. The 1 and 2 thumbs-up are like saying "didn't really address the problem" and "wasn't the best solution"
