My Comfort Zone Ceramic electric heater CZ488 does not heat on high or low, but the fan that puts out cool air works. What is wrong.

It's mostly likely that somewhere in the circuit for the heat that it has opened somewhere so you don't have a complete closed circuit anymore. If it's old and not terribly expensive I'd just replace it. If it's not that old I would see what kind of factory warranty or store warranty night still apply to it, because I can only imagine that it would be very difficult if not impossible to get replacement parts for it, or the price of said parts would cost more than the price of a new unit. Please vote for my answer if you found it helpful, and let's us know your results. Thanks and good luck!

I have just had a Comfort Zone CZ230ER heater installed in my garage. The room temp sensor is reading in reverse, Goes up as the room cools and goes down as the room warms.

That would be a warranty issue, but wonder if you are reading set temperature, ambient temperature or 'set back' temperature? Contact the maker.

E1 error code on a cz220 comfort zone model heater what does it mean

The E1 error code on a Comfort Zone CZ220 heater indicates a problem with the high-temperature limit switch. This switch is a safety feature that shuts off the heater if it overheats. To clear the error code, you can try resetting the heater by unplugging it from the power outlet and waiting for at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in. If the error code persists, it may indicate a more serious issue with the heater that requires professional repair.

Comfort Zone CZ230ER doesn't cool down to setpoint and shuts off

If your Comfort Zone CZ230ER is not cooling down to the setpoint and shutting off, there could be several potential issues causing this problem. Here are a few things to check:
  1. Check the air filter: A dirty or clogged air filter can restrict airflow and cause the unit to overheat. Be sure to clean or replace the air filter as needed.
  2. Check the thermostat: If the thermostat is faulty, it may not be accurately sensing the temperature in the room, which can prevent the unit from cycling properly. Try replacing the thermostat to see if that resolves the issue.
  3. Check for leaks: If the refrigerant level is low due to a leak, the unit may not be able to cool properly. Have a professional inspect the unit for leaks and repair them as needed.
  4. Check the compressor: If the compressor is faulty, it may not be able to properly circulate refrigerant through the system, which can prevent the unit from cooling. A professional will need to diagnose and repair any issues with the compressor.
  5. Check the fan motor: If the fan motor is not functioning properly, it can prevent the unit from properly circulating air, which can cause it to overheat and shut off prematurely. Check to see if the fan is running smoothly and replace the motor if necessary.
If you are unsure how to perform any of these checks or repairs, it's best to consult a professional HVAC technician.

I have a Comfort Zone fireplace heater model CZFP20M. The artificial flame stopped working. Is there a fuse inside? Anyone else have this problem? The heater still works btw.

It is possible that there is a fuse inside the Comfort Zone Fireplace Heater model # CZFP20M that has blown, causing the artificial flame to stop working. You should check the owner's manual or contact the manufacturer to determine if there is a fuse in the unit and where it is located. It's also possible that the artificial flame stopped working due to a malfunction in the control module or other electrical component. In this case, it's recommended to get the unit inspected by a professional technician. It's not uncommon for artificial flames to stop working, it could be due to a variety of issues such as a malfunction in the control module, a blown fuse, or a problem with the artificial flame itself. I recommend checking the owner's manual or contacting the manufacturer for troubleshooting steps or to see if there have been any known issues with the model you have. If you are unable to find a resolution or the problem persist, it's always best to get the unit inspected by a professional technician.

My Comfort Zone heater comes on and the fan is loud and scraping sound and quits. Then does the whole cycle again.

Question edited to add a few capital letter for Proper Names and model numbers. Take the cover off and find why the fan is scraping. Sometimes they will move on the motor spindle and hit the casing. If the fan is slowed down the element gets too hot and overheat protection cuts the power until it cools. Fix the fan and it will be fine. Some fans have a small Allen head grub screw in the fan collar, some are press fit with grip washers. https://www.google.com/search?q=Comfort+Zone+CZ799BK ..

I have a comfort zone model CZ2011C. We have no heat all weekend til Monday .will these heaters be safe to run? Help!

The main issue with space heaters is either setting them too close to something flammable or them getting pushed over, They are supposed to have a tip switch in them though. The issue about drawing too much electric current could be a problem. Dont put them on the same circuit. They should not have any other concerns about running.;.
