You can either call a service company or shut down your refrigerator for 36-24 hours to defrost the drain. You call a service company, if I were still working for Sears, I would have to charge you about $350.00 to tear out the back wall and replace this usless coil. Turn off your refrigerator for 24-36 hours. Hopefully it is not a fan or a colling coil failure in your refrigerator.

You are right... it does have that problem (ice bound). The design of that particular ice bucket enables the ice build-up to get a good purchase on its' mount. Just don't force anything. A couple of firm raps with the heel of the hand around the base... then push the release and most of the time it will come right out. Alternatively (but a lot more trouble)... Kill the power and allow everything to defrost naturally... air dry... and again it should release as normal. When replacing the bin... just make sure EVERYTHING is clean and dry and it won't be much of a problem... OTHERWISE it is a GREAT ICE maker.

Best way and will make sure they don't kill your battery is to remove the bulbs.

May also need to check the defrost timer, u can get by and test manually by placing a small screw driver into the tiny slot or hole underneath the timer and turn slowly clockwise till u hear 1 click. this will engage ur defrost cycle in about 15 minutes u should be able to come back and feel the heat in freezer as it melts the ice providing ur terminator is not bad?
