Hi Murd, to get out of offline, you have to be online. That means you need to connect to a form of internet. This could be as simple as turning on your wifi on your device. Once your wifi is on, you need to connect to a router. A list usually shows up when you turn on your wifi. Choose your internet router connection, make sure it shows its connected, then try again to see if your still considered offline.
Basically you have probably accidentally swept it off your screen into the trash can all you have to do is go in to your play store or whatever app store you have and redownload your messenger basically it could have happened in your pocket or anything honey just try that.
Rooting ...allows you to make bianary changes to your phone you wouldn't normally have access to for your phones protection. You can change your fonts, and many other core settings. Befor making any changes be sure to make a backup of all your phones settings and core bianary's using a good backup program so you can resort back to these or reinstall a core program if there's a problem. Be carefull to the changes that you make because : you can render you phone unusable or it can get stuck in "bootloop". This will make your phone useless! Be sure to read up on all modifications before attempting to do this. A good website to do this is xda.developers.com
