My alcatel ontouch firece tmobile wont boot up

Yes, If a hard reset was not in a proper way i mean wrong steps that can cause your phone not to boot up. But if will okay after you flash your phone the correct OS for that model.

How to hard reset exmobile s1+
hold the volume up, home and power buttons at the same time till the system reboots wait for the options menu use volume buttons up down to scroll through the system options and select data wipe/factory reset press the home button to confirm scroll down again to select yes delete all user data home button to select again wait for proceses then select reboot system now it should start up like new again follow istructions and your done warning this will erase all your data
Update firmware download
you should be able to go into your settings and click update.
then there should be some tabs like download firmware, up date software. stuff like that when you find the one you are looking for just click it.
Not reading sim card
Are you sure the card is inserted the right way???
The sim card and phone may not be compatable. If the phone is locked, it may not work. For example, a T-Mobile sim card won't work on a locked Att phone and vice versa. Many times you can call the company that originally sold the phone and get an unlock code for it.
