The easiest way I can think of to input a new password is to do a factory reset on your phone. I must warn you that a factory reset WILL ERASE ALL DATA NOT ON A MEMORY CARD, so bear that in mind if a few pictures go missing. If you don't have a memory card, then I don't know what else to tell you.
To do a factory reset, you must first load in to the bootloader. This is done by making sure the phone is fully powered off. Instead of turning it on normally, hold down your volume up+down keys as you hold the power button. If done correctly, you should see a screen with the little google android laying on his back with a panel open on his front side, a bunch of technical stuff at the bottom, and a big green box pointing to the power key, or something similar. Navigate to "RECOVERY MODE" by presing the volume keys, and select it by pressing the power key. From there, you should be able to navigate the menus the same way to get to Factory Reset.
Once again, all data not on memory card WILL be erased. If done properly, your phone -should- now boot as if this were the first time you've ever turned it on. Because you're on Android, once you put in your e-mail address, your contacts should automatically be restored to your phone, and whatever apps you downloaded should automatically begin downloading themselves once more once you've connected to wi-fi. Information such as text messages, however, will still be lost, as well as any other data stored on the phone's internal storage rather than the memory card.
I hope this helps.
