Fisher and Paykel iw812 had

If it had code 37 why did you keep running it? Error codes are there for a reason. There may be no power because the pump is burnt out. Replacing the pump may restore the power if you are lucky. If power still does not come on after changing the drain pump then you are probably looking at a new control board as well. Your best thing to do is call a service company who will have a spare pump that they can try. If you buy a pump and then find it too expensive to buy the board as well, you will have wasted the money on the pump.

I have a Paykel & Fischer washer, Model GWL10U2.

You need to understand that we can't see what you can. When you say it stopped, does that mean there is still power on & lights showing but it won't start or is there no power at all. Big difference in the way each will be fixed. If no power lights at all then you will need to call a service company as the main control board will have died.

We have dirty marks deposited upon completion of washing using a Fisher And paykel washimg machine.Any suggestions how to fix?

Take the inner spin bowl out & scrub it and the outer bowl clean of any soap scrud build up. Stop using softener if you use it as that and too much cold water washing is the main cause of the build up.

Fisher and Paykel washer fault code 40. Is it possible to repair DIY. What to look for?

This is error code 40. 40. (00101000) Basket Dis-engage Fault While carrying out a basket check, the Motor Control Module has found that the basket is not engaged even though the pressure sensor indicates that the basket is empty. The Motor Control Module continues to check for 2 minutes, after which time it displays this fault. The first two areas to check are the clutch and the pressure tube. If these two appear correct, then the fault could be in the pressure sensor in the Motor Control Module. Primary Source: Mechanical. Action: 1) Check that there are no clothes or other foreign objects preventing the clutch from re-engaging. Excessive suds can stop the basket rotating. 2) If the machine is empty of water, carry out a clutch disassembly procedure and check the spline drive. 3) Next check that the pressure tube has not come off and that it is not kinked. Secondary Source: Motor Control Module. Action: Replace Motor Control Module.

My fisher and paykel 5.5kg smart drive MW51

Possibly a worn RPS, they can be sensitive to moisture. so some days they can work fine, and other days can cause the motor to stall. normally gives a fault code though (which is why I have a suspicion this fault may be in the board). if you feel like leaning the machine on it's front (emptied, disconnected of course) you could look at the motor RPS on the rear of the motor. see if it shows signs of corrosion. you will need to remove the rotor (spinning bit) to see the RPS. *(follow the wires to the RPS)

Hi, Fisher and Paykel washing machine code 49 and harness was loose. Fixed it, checked solenoids etc so should be all OK but code still showing. How do you clear the code after fixing the problem?

You don't. There is no magic reset button. Clear the fault & it resets itself. If fault is still showing then there is still a problem, Either faulty cold water inlet valve, bad connection or more likely a faulty main control board. That last one is the usual reason for that fault.

Screeching noise during operation of machine

If it only screeches when the drain pump is running you can spray some crc or wd40 in to the bearing on the drain pump. That usually helps. You will have to turn power off at wall, tip machine back against a wall and get at the pump underneath on the right side at the front.

I have a Fisher Paykel

Fault code 49 is saying that the control board is getting an incorrect reading from the cold water inlet valve circuit. Can be a faulty inlet valve, bad connection on the wiring or more common is that the control board has a fault and will need to be replaced.

Why is lid not locking?

Replace the lid lock. If you post a model number I can give you a part number. Over time lid locks sometimes wear out over time( most of them are 90% plastic). Lid locks should be relatively inexpensive. Also if this is a top load washer you can replace it yourself instead of hiring someone.

Fisher and Paykel washing machine. Model # WA42T26GW1. Have no power at all.Is there a reset on machine???

No. It has a fuse soldered on main board but if no power then usually that means a new board required but also needs everything tested to see if there is a reason board died before installing a new board.

My Fisher and Paykel washing machine's lights are flashing. Fault code 65. When I opened the control panel, there was water in there. What do I do?

Grabbing the agitator would not cause error 65. Yes that error can only be solved by replacing the control module. Water can only have come from the filling valves & chamber on the left hand side inside the panel. Completely dry all areas inside the panel, especially around the filling valves & chamber. Put machine on wash cycle & start. While filling, have the control panel open & watch for any water appearing from anywhere. Fix the leak then replace the control board.

Hi, My Fisher & Paykel GW612 washing machine is not spinning, just thumping back & forward, error code 40 on the lights tells Me to carry out a clutch disassembly procedure any help please !!!

Inner spin bowl rises up when water level is high & disengages a clutch gear. When water drains out bowl settles back down and gear engages. Error 40 is saying that the gear has not locked in place and engaged. Remove lid, take out agitator. Under agitator is a cap held in place with 4 screws. Take out screws (do not drop them down through the slots in the bowl) Take off cap & gear underneath will slide up & off the shaft (gear will be tight to pull up due to soap build up.) Inspect gear for damage & clean out any dirt or obstruction. Re assemble and try wash cycle. If you still get the same fault you may have a faulty control board.
