electrical whine... like the starter motor is spinning but the gear isnt engaging into the engine? id pull the starter and see if the bendix gear is messed up

try cleaning the carbs and the fuel lines, filter

sounds like the coil,as the 5 minutes it needs to cool down,the primary or secondary winding insulation has broken down.

check for corrosion of the engine as leaving it for long any water left in the system will cause problems.

you more then likely have some clogged jets in the carbs. That or a vaccum leak.
