look my friend try to open side door and move that two rullers hanging in exit unit try to move more than 5 on's it's works

try making a copy and then open the door when the paper is in the center of the machine. if the image is offset before the paper hits the fuser(hot) rollers>the problem is in your drum unit (most likely a cleaning blade. If it happens after going through the fuser(hot) rollers you have a fuser roller problem. Most likely you have a worn drum cleaning blade which is cheaper the a drum. Good Luck.

How are you? This is a problem with front door switch.
Remedy

• Place the machine on a level table and make sure all the four stands are landing freely on this table.
• Check that the front door notch that closes the door switch is not broken and if it is replace that particular door or modify the notch.
• Make sure the upper half of copier is well locked with the lower bottom part.

If all the above is correct, and still reads open, replace the door switch.

SC495 is generally a problem with the toner recycling system in a Lanier copier. Without knowing the specific model, I can't give you any more information. What model copier do you have?

We also just had someone donate this same type of copier to us and do have a manual. We are currently having trouble with the stapling unit running continuously. The manual is about 130 pages. I may be able to scan it to you in a few days if you'd like.

Press Clear/Modes, then 107, then press AND HOLD Clear/Stop
This will get you into the service mode screen.
Know what you are doing before going into any modes and changing anything.

The only way to get it back to normal is to have it serviced by a tech

U14 - Toner waste bottle full. Replace the waste bottle (plastic box at the bottom middle) with a new one or try to empty it.

Most of the time the motor in the laser unit has gone bad.
The laser could also simply need cleaned.

Well sometimes you can restart the printer...also you can start printing where it left off if you see what page it was and then hit print and look in window and set start page such as 21-40

Remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. make sure there is no other conflicting softwares in the pc specially recently downloaded programs. If so uninstall them too. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Now make a test to see if the PC commands the printer. If there is no response, check the head assembly/ ink carriage to be struck or out of alignment. Check for possible realignment of any of these mechanical problems., jammed roller or head drive
If the catridges were removed make sure they are in place . If you are removing them make sure that the printer is shut off .
If none work it can also be an error inthe main board. Need to swap one to confirm

The option for enlarging copies on any printer are usually found under the "properties", or, "preference" tab/button. There should be sub-tab that says "scaling" that is defaulted at 100 percent. Increasing that number enlarges the copy.

re install fixing unit and do the sc reset. press clear mode 2x 107 press clear/stop until COPY SP appears press Copy Sp then exit, turn off machine then on after 5 to 10 seconds

Lanier and Ricoh have been having a huge problem with their touch screens going bad. If you have a service contract on your copier, you should be able to get it replaced for free under the warranty.

In the meantime, try turning the machine off and back on, and you might be able to get it working temporarily.

To be absolutely sure no personal info is stored you should remove the harddrive and either destroy it or have cleaned by a professional service. You can do it yourself with a few rare earth magnets.

this is an error for the fuser the thermistors have not registered the temps properly check the fuser and if you know how to take it apart clean the thermistors.. you could try an sc reset using the following proceedure...Yellow clear button then 107 then hold down the stop button..wait for the screen to change to show copier sp turn off the machine and wait 5 secs then turn off. If this doesnt reset do the same proceedure on the copier sp enter this then look for mode 5. enter this mode and look for 810 sc reset and set this then turn off wait and turn back on....if this error occurs regularly the thermistors will have to be changed.. hope this helps..A
