My icemaker on LG refrigerator is making very few
Hello,
If the ice maker is producing ice poorly, making small cubes or too few
cubes then it means your ice maker is probably have a clogged water line, a defective water-inlet
valve, or a defective ice maker mold thermostat that is not cycling
properly.
First, check the water line that's attached to the back of the refrigerator. Make
sure it is having a good water flow. If the flow is poor, that means you will have to, repair, clean, or
replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water in the ice maker.
Second, check the water-inlet valve. You will need to replace the water inlet valve if it has failed.
Third, check the freezer temperature. It should be 8 degrees Fahrenheit or
lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.
Lastly, check the ice maker mold thermostat. Make sure that it's cycling properly.
The above is what you need to check on........
I hope this helps....
Take care.
