Viking VDB200 Dishwasher - Page 9 Questions & Answers
Why is my dishwasher leaking on the bottom? Could it be the solenoid.
Water doesn't come from solenoids. A solenoid is an electro magnetic switch as doesn't involve water. Having said that, there is a solenoid on the water inlet valve.
On a dishwasher, water can be from anywhere, hoses, the pump, the water inlet valve, or in your case check the door gasket. There is a tray under the machine that has a leak sensor, and as that isn't triggered, my feeling is that the door is leaking.
Full make and model in all questions please as sometimes certain models have 'history'.

Omega dishwasher leaking water from back or base of machine
On an Omega ODW600S I had a leak, and found it was the o-ring seal that wraps around the impeller shaft that sits within the heater assembly "sump". Part 611 in the exploded diagram to be found on some sites.
Tech support was useless, don't bother with them. If in Australia, the parts can be ordered from Bunnings. However, I didn't need to. I fixed it rapidly, easily and cheaply by layering a coat of sealing silicon all over the o-ring from the inside, making sure to allow enough room to re-insert the small spring type full circlip, that wraps around a tiny rubber extension collar of the o-ring so the o-ring grabs onto the shaft a bit tighter.
You can open up the heater manifold with just a twist and a couple of small pieces of something solid to wedge open the catching clips. The large o-ring between halves of the "sphere" may likely be stretched. Before re-assembly, do a dry run to ensure you know where it rotates back on. Thoroughly clean the area where the gasket has to go, and the o-ring gasket. Insert the gasket where in place--it may be fiddly depending on how stretched/swollen it is. Then use a little light grease on both the outer surface of the o-ring and the male/mating surface of the sump as it enters the heater body. Twist gently and line up square as you insert the parts back together so as to not push that gasket out. And voila!

Ariston dishwasher LFB 5B010 EX on/off, rinse aid and salt lights are flashing, left washing light orange and green (end) light on without flashing.
It sounds like there may be a problem with your Ariston dishwasher. The flashing lights and the dishwasher's inability to wash could be caused by a number of issues, including a problem with the control panel, a faulty water inlet valve, or a clogged wash pump.
To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following steps:
- Check the control panel for any loose or damaged wires. If you find any loose or damaged wires, try to secure them or repair them as needed.
- Check the water inlet valve to make sure it is not clogged or faulty. The water inlet valve controls the flow of water into the dishwasher. If it is clogged or faulty, it could cause the dishwasher to stop working.
- Check the wash pump for any blockages. The wash pump is responsible for circulating the water during the wash cycle. If it is clogged, it could prevent the dishwasher from washing properly.

Klarstein Dishwasher (Amazonia) when turned ON display cycles through the options, and buttons are unresponsive
If your Klarstein dishwasher is cycling through the display options and buttons are unresponsive, it is possible that there is an issue with the control board. Here are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
- Unplug the dishwasher from the power source for at least 5 minutes, then plug it back in and see if the issue persists.
- Check the dishwasher's circuit breaker or fuse box to make sure that power is being supplied to the unit.
- Inspect the control board for any visible signs of damage, such as burn marks or corrosion. If you find any damage, the control board may need to be replaced.
- If you are comfortable working with electronics, you can try resetting the control board by unplugging the dishwasher, removing the control board, and disconnecting the ribbon cables. Leave everything disconnected for a few minutes, then reassemble and reconnect everything.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact a professional appliance repair service for further assistance.
