Could be as simple as a clogged water line to a water control valve.

Try to rinse with vinegar.

make sure you have selected the heated dry option. for the smell, add a 1/2 cup of white vinegar to wash cycle.

yes the drain pump should start at this point so I would suspect a faulty drain pump,But try a reset first push and hold power button until lights reset then try a cycle if this fails to fix problem then I would suspect the drain pump.adrian,,,,,
