Try holding down Menu-jump to get to the emergency screen. Then hold down on menu-shift-Q and release. It will ask if you want to reset phone. IT WILL RESET AND DELETE EVERYTHING!!!!. It will be like new. Except sim. This works with sidekick 2, not sure with others.

Take a plain piece of paper and take ur phone and roll it around on that for a while, you don't have to take it out of the phone just roll the ball on the paper. If that does not fix anything, then similiar to Blackberries, it is a hardware issue or the sensor for the ball. Call T Mobile and get in touch with their Support Division. If you have insurance on your phone call the Insurance company ( you can get the # from T Mobile) and they will replace it. If your phone is under warranty T Mobile will send you a replacement at NO cost to you. Sorry to hear your problems with the device. Hope i've helped!

I just bought an old T-mobile side kick (2004)

I want to use it in Pakistan with Warid sim.
Any ideas how to have it unlocked or how to have the Warid sim
work on it.

The SAVE option can be seen at the side of the games

If you have them saved on your sim card once you insert them sim card in a new phone they will be on the new phone and you can import them from sim card to your new phone.

To change the ringtone on yourSidekick, perform the following steps:

1. At the Jump screen, select Phone - Make sure you click on it!
2. Press the Menu key.

3. Scroll to and select Settings.

4. Select General.

5. Scroll to and select the Incoming phone call ring field.

6. Select the tone category.

7. Scroll to and select the tone.

8. To save, press the Done key.

Only if the blackberry is unlocked from the origional carrier. Sounds like your phone is still locked. Contact the carrier and if you are in decent standing with the company, they will provide a sim unlock for the device.

Try to do a hard reset.


Flip open screen half way put pin or pen in the tiny hole and hold it in till it vibrate and turns off and on..

this is a very simple solution if someone hasn't told you the answer yet.... just hold your sidekick right side up then flip it as if you were putting it on a table and then there will be a button with 2 arrows and then 1 with what looks as a dot hold in the button with the do until you see the screen start to light up

try reseting your sim card that works some times, call your provider they will tell you step by step or if you dont wanna do that try searching it up on youtube

you need to hard reset the device to remove it, or type it in wrong 10 times and the device will hard reset it self by default
