Engel do not sell individual refrigeration components. Unfortunately. But you can buy from them a complete evaporator, compressor and condensor pre-assembled. You just need to make up a box. The electronic control box is also available as well as the thermostat. I am not sure who you can contact in the USA but I am sure if you go to www.engelaustralia.com you should be able to track down someone in the US who can supply those parts. Alternatively you can make up one using a Danfoss BD35 compressor with a dual control, which can run on 12vdc, 24vdc and 220vac. You then just need a wide range thermostat -30/+30c and you are away.

Usual problem, let it defrost properly, I mean 48 hours with doors open in warm room. It is most likely frozen up inside (its frost free! no?) inside is a different matter and they dont tell you that!

fully defrost it 48 hrs with the doors open and that can often cure it.

thats typically an air circulating fan thats either faulty or something is touthing the blade. open up and see.

Hi . Most freezers with the condenser coils at the back do not work when the temperature where it is placed gets below (( 5 degree c ))?? IE in a garage if it is freezing weather outside. One solution is somehow to keep the condenser compartment warm. Check the makers website. for what they say about it

check wiring into outlet and at breaker that feeds outlet. you may be losing high volts at or to the switch. if possible check power into the stat when the condition occurs. this will telll you if stat is bad or power into it aka the outlet is bad. you may be jiggling wires in the outlet enough to fix short term each time you replug to outlet or get a good heavy extension cord and plug in else where to seee if problem goes away.Good luck

this is not unusual on any make. the cracking noise is the cabinet creaking with change in temperatue. don't worry about it

the stat is clamped to the backplate of the frodge with a simple clamp held just by two screws. undo the clamp. the stat capiliary may be bent back on itself, if so straighten it and it will pull out

• Check the temperature setting
• Assure that there is enough room for air flow in the refrigerator or freezer
• Check for air flow restrictions in vents
• Test the temperature control
• Clean the condensor coils
• Check the door seals
• Test the door switch
• Test defrost heater
• Test defrost timer
• Test evaporator fan
• Check for a clogged drain tube
• Check for refrigerant leak

I would first check to see if the evaporator in the freezer is all iced up. If it is thats whay you do not have any cooloing. And If that is the case you have a defrost problem and it is not short on gas. If you see only a few coils on the evaporator frosted up then you do have a leak in the system and my be covered under the manufactures warrenty.

Your defrost is on a timer and every so often it clicks and sends electricity to defrost heater and activates. It shuts everything else down. Manually advance the timer with small screwdriver to see if it activates. If not your timer is bad. Another way to tell is to put a mark on your timer and then come back later and see if it has moved.

Thermostat can easily be determined, it has knob or a display for digital control. If it is a knob try to set it to high cool but if wont work.Try to unplug the unit and pull out the thermostat set it to high cool and check if there is a resistance on its terminals. Or check for open overload compressor Or may be the winding of compressor is open.

Ok, since you have no proof the company does not need to pay for the floor damage. Suggestion: Buy the new flooring out of your own pocket. And if you really want to try and get money for the repairs from the people who moved the appliance in, take them to civil claims court (United States)
