simply remove the plastic cover from rear of laptop. a small icon or image of HDD insignia will most likely be on back, near plastic cover. remove the screws, there will be a tab to assit you in pulling out the hard drive from compartment. it may require you to unscrew more screws to release the hard disk drive.

once removed replace with the new one.

I can't find the place to add memory on a toshiba

You can view the user manual here. Click on 'Users Guide' and the the section on adding more memory begins on page 65. It looks like it's located under the keyboard, so you have to carefully pry the piece of just above the keyboard. There's screws underneath that which hold the keyboard in place. Remove these screws and and flip the keyboard onto its face. The memory modules are covered by a plastic sheet.

Hope this helps

Should a toshiba a45 s121

No. The A45 series (and the near identical A40 series) have no base memory: at least one of the two RAM sockets underneath the keyboard needs to be populated for it to post.

HOW DO I REINSTALL MY WIFI

You need to check first if the wireless switch is turn on.If it is on, check the function key for the wireless. Some computers have function key. Sometimes it is combination of fn and f5. Press those keys at the same time and you should see a pop up window and check if the current status is on. If it is on, uninstall/reinstall the wireless driver in device manager. and restart your computer. If this didn't work. You need to do re installation of your operating system.

I currently have no os loaded on my laptop....when

It could either be:
* the CD-ROM drive is mis-reading,
* the CD-ROM media is damaged,
* the hard-drive is mis-writing or mis-reading,
* the RAM in your computer is mis-writing or mis-reading.

Download the free 'MEMTEST86+' software, and burn it to a bootable CD-disk. Boot your computer from the CD, and it will "exhaustively" do a "test" of your RAM.

I'm not sure if you've tried this yet, but there's a possibility that the power is too low for it to run and still has enough left to blink the hibernation light. Try charging it maybe?

Screen appears to have magenta and cyan but

The issue could be related to your graphics adapter or the monitor itself. First try removing the graphics adapter from the Device Manager within your system and rebooting. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you may want to try resetting the monitor itself back to the default factory settings and you can only do this via the buttons directly on the monitor.

My computer havn't sound what sould i do

Check the status of the sound device in the Device Manager. this will show if it is working OK or not and give some information about the status of the sound module. If this is showing a problem you will need to reinstall the sound driver.

Assuming that you don't have the original Toshiba supplied CD that contained all the drivers you can download all the required drivers and support information from the following link

Changing the ram in my toshiba stellite a45 laptop

I don’t have a diagram for upgrading memory in this particular model, but it’s very easy. You can access both memory slots from the bottom of the laptop if you remove the memory cover. The cover is located in the middle, right beside the fans. All you have to do is remove 2 screws and remove the cover. I believe Satellite P15 memory is expandable to 2GB in both slots (Slot A + Slot B = 2GB) and you can use PC2100 DDR RAM, PC2700 memory should work too (it will run at PC2100 speed).

Check the laptop specifications before you buy new RAM module. I just discovered that different Satellite P15 models use different memory types. For example, according to Toshiba specifications Satellite P15-S409 uses PC2100 DDR memory, but Toshiba Satellite P15-S479 uses PC2700 DDR memory (I think it might be a typo, but not really sure).
