VERY IMPORTANTDo not power off the computer once you provide us with a Response code. There's a unique Response code .Don't turn off your notebook, don't restart it, don't enter anything except generated Response code.
On the keyboard should be an fn button usually by the ctrl button. At the top of the keyboard there should be a button that looks like a sun and has a arrow up or down. Now combine the fn+the sun button.Hope this helped.
First, try to test the functionality of the Fn key by using it to alter another setting on your laptop. If it doesn't, you'll need to go to BIOS and enable the Keyboard Function option (or alike, depending on your BIOS version). If the Fn key does work, then try to see if F6 and F7 function at all. For example, if you're using Firefox, the F6 key should highlight the entire URL of the website you're visiting. F7 brings up a "Caret Browsing"dialog box. If both keys function well, then you may want to reinstall the drivers of your graphics card. If nothing happens after the update, and if you use Vista, then go to Start, and right-click on the Computer label. From the popup menu select Manage, and in the new window go to the last listing, where you'll find a sub-entry labeled Services. Click on it, and from the list on the right, look for a service that's called Keyboard shortcuts or alike (sorry I don't remember exactly how it's labeled as I dont use Vista). Double-click this Keyboard service, and from the new windows see if it's started, and if it's set to Automatic run each time Windows loads. Then restart Windows and hopefully your LCD will dimm/brighten.

You may have to many Mp3 file stored or videos. Videos and music Mp3 files take up a lot of space on the hard drive and can potentially lock the hard drive. 3.You the utility in Windows to clear some hard drive space. Found in the "accessories" then System Tools >.then "disk cleanup" This is for Windows XP. Windows 7 is totally different but basically the same principal. I hope this helps. Have a great day

You are experiencing a common problem called the blue screen of death. This happens when your Operating System developed errors and starts to restart. This problem is common with Windows XP though it may also appear in Vista.
To solve this problem, you need to perform a system repair using your Operating System Installation CD. Below are the steps for repairing Windows XP. Windows Vista and Windows 7 system repair are much more easier and straight forward so i will not provide those steps.
To perform a system repair, follow these steps:
Procedure for performing a Windows XP Repair:
* Insert the Windows XP CD. * Restart the computer, and then press any key to boot from CD. * Windows will ask you to press R to repair using recovery console, ignore this message and press Enter to continue with setup. * After the files have been loaded, Windows will start and a list of options will be displayed. These will include, “Press Esc for a new installation”, “Press R to repair Windows”. * At this point, press “R” to repair Windows XP. * Windows will restart and the repair process will continue automatically. * Windows will restart and ask you again to press any key to boot from CD, ignore this message and let the process continue automatically. * A blue screen will appear and the installation will continue. * You will also be asked to enter your product key, enter the product key that came with the CD, then continue with the setup process. * Windows will restart for the last time, ignore the “press any key” message again. Windows will welcome you in for the first time, the repair process will have been complete.
Performing a system repair will not delete your data or change your settings.
