Lift it up from the hole at the bottom and off of the shaft

the sensor is inside the rear cowling and in the tube at the top behind the thermal wrap (black putty). pull it out and replace. you'll need to contact bunn for parts

there is a sensor on each side in the back that monitor the speed of the auger to determine thickness of the slush. if the sensor is dusty, it causes an error.

remove the 2 screws and the panel in the back behind the bowl on that side. you will see the motor and the sensor in front of it. use compressed air to blow out any dust. next, check to see if there are 2 pins on the shaft that pass the sensor. if one is gone, you will need to have it replaced.

I saw your post you mentioned that the left barrel has a fault, and it Drops OFF voltage when the compress starts.

Possible that the Left condenser is experiencing problems causing the left barrel to drop voltage when compress starts.

It can be weak compressor or faulty auger motor or faulty valve connections.As you mentioned that valves loose voltage as compressor comes on, this is indication of weak compressor or main board.If the compressor voltage checks ok then its main control board problem.-------- You will have to test it with meter. ---------- This unit has a warranty on it, if its not very old.--------- The warranty details is as follows:-- 1) All equipment other than as specified below: 2 years parts and 1 year labor. 2) Electronic circuit and/or control boards: parts and labor for 3 years. 3) Compressors on refrigeration equipment: 5 years parts and 1 year labor. 4) Grinding burrs on coffee grinding equipment to grind coffee to meet original factory screen sieve analysis: parts and labor for 3 years or 30,000 pounds of coffee, whichever comes first ------------ This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

The switch has failed and is closed circuit all the time (on all the time). Switched are either single pole or double pole and both types can end up with the contacts fused together but it happens more with single pole switches. Remove the switch and test it with a multimeter. Normally when you flip the switch, it feels 'odd', but not always.

The Bunn Ultra-2 originally came with several circuit boards, including the main control board and a small memory board also known as the "TIC Clock". This little board, screwed in directly behind the main control board and has a small round metal circuit on it that looks like a watch battery, but it is not -- the metal "Can" contains the timing and memory functions for the main control board.There is also a small battery inside the "can", which maintains the memory when power is removed from the machine. Over time, this battery will fail and you will see an error message on your LCD readout that says ":Bad TIC Clock". In the past you could just buy a new TIC Board from Bunn and install it and you'd be back on your way again. But, Bunn no longer sells the TIC Board and instead Bunn wants you to purchase a new Main Circuit Board that has the memory and timing functions built right on the new Main Board. The list price is over $200.You can now purchase a TIC Board Rehabilitation kit from the Margarita Guys for under $50 which will replace the failed circuitry on the small TIC Board. hi, from my experience 1. the main board/ecu may have a faulty solenoid. there are two solenoids on the board, 1 for each side. if the left auger works, then it's the right solenoid. its close to im[possible to replace the solenoids unless u have good connections to china!! 2. the right motor auger in the back might have a fault or bad electrical connection, very rare. exchange the electrical connections to the motor from left to right and vice versa. then you know what is faulty. 3. good luck 4. you can order mainboards/ecu's at bunn.com. they r reasonable priced
