Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check and clean the battery contacts inside the battery comparment, for any rust or dust accululated, prevents proper battery connection. Clean it well, berofe inserting batteries. If you are using a universal remote control, you have to set it up with the set-up code to your TV brand, otherwise it won't work properly.
