Kodak EasyShare Z760 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
Red flashing light on battery indicator on the loading dock.
My Z760 does the same thing. When that happens I run the battery completely down by taking pictures until it shuts down. Then when I put it on the dock it charges properly. Don't leave your camera on the dock all the time and don't try to always keep the battery fully charged--instead it will develop memory and think it needs to be fully charged to run and will give you a low battery signal earlier than it should. Wait until you actually get a low battery signal before charging and it should help, but mine will still give me the red light sometimes. Then I run the battery out like I said before. I hope this information helps. :-)

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

Accessories
Power supply is not repairable. At least not cost worthy. The camera only sells for $40 to $60. Buy one for $10 on Ebay with a bad lens and swap parts.
Will not format the sd card
Check that he sd card is not "locked"
If it is not, try formatting it on a computer and then put in camera.
How do you find the white balance on this camera?
This camera does not have a customizable white balance. It does have some presets -- they are:
- Auto (default)-automatically corrects white
balance. Ideal for general picture taking.
- Daylight-for pictures in natural lighting.
- Tungsten-corrects the orange cast of household
light bulbs. Ideal for indoor pictures under tungsten or halogen lighting without flash.
- Fluorescent-corrects the green cast of fluorescent
lighting. Ideal for indoor pictures under fluorescent lighting without flash. To access them, press the [Menu] button and look for White Balance -- the icon is a Sun and Light Bulb symbol.
Cannot set date and time or move off that screen
The joystick switch is easy to break when putting the camera on it's back. The switch is soldered to a small circuit board and the pins brake. Sometimes the inside of the switch breaks also. The card is fairly easy to replace if you can get one. Try Ebay. There are also individuals like myself that can replace that card for around $20 and $5 shipping.
Flash not working kodak z760
The high voltage for the flash is on the power board. The capacitor charges for the flash. This isn't really fixable and could be dangerous to try fixing it as the voltage is in the 20,000 volt range.Suggest selling it on Ebay for parts. Most for parts sell for $25
Lost pictures
Sounds like corrupted files, you need to try formatting both the card and the internal memory. your photos are gone.
WHAT IS THE BEST MEMORY CARD FOR THE z760 CAMERA
The Z760 works with MMC and SD cards. MMC cards are all but extinct, and samples will likely cost more. MMC and SD cards max out at 2GB, so make sure you get one no larger than 2GB. SDHC cards start at 2GB but won't work in the Z760.You can use any speed and brand of SD card, but personally I'd go with one of the major brands.
My pictures come out dark why?
It has nothing to do with the memory card. Try pulling your batteries out -- including the backup battery -- and letting the device reset to its default settings. You probably changed the contrast accidentally.
I put a SDHC memory
The Z760 works with MMC and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work.
Why will my camera not
Some electronic devices, including cameras, come with its maximum manageable memory card. And when you use a memory card that's beyond the allowable size this might cause the device to not function properly or do processes/operations slower than normal. This is due to compatibility issues.
That's based on experience since i've tried to use a memory card thats beyond what my old camera model could handle and it made my camera slower in displaying preview, editing and in saving captured images.
I'm not sure if this is what causes your problem. Try it with a lesser memory card size. Also check your camera's user manual to see the memory card sizes that's compatible with the model.
If this doesn't work, i'm sorry i dont have anything else in mind to solve the problem. :)
New memory card dose not work. Keeps saying
Your problem is it's an SD"High Capacity" (SDHC). This type of card came out after camera was designed, and although it looks the same as a standard SD card, its not. Sorry, but there's no way to make that type of card work with your camera. But just
go on Amazon, You can purchase a standard 2GB that will work with your camera for about $6 to $7 (total with shipping).
For others reading this with similar problems, there are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common is trying to use a 4GB or higher SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Other causes include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card).
