New batteries, turns on, after date shuts off.

I recommend you see the milliamp-hour (mAh) rating written next to the batteries and your camera, most cameras work at around 2000. You can buy one with more amperage, which will give you more time, but will produce an uncanny heat on more usage. See the rating, and buy accordingly or at the most 500 more from the recommended one. Thank you.

My Kodak EasyShare CX7430 Digital Camera's flash

I assume there's a subject in the foreground you want illuminated with the flash? The light output from the flash falls off with the square of the distance. An object twice as far from the camera only receives a quarter as much light. If you want your foreground subject illuminated then the background won't get much light. In order to get both the foreground and background illuminated the same, turn off the flash. This will probably require you to put the camera on a tripod or other stable support. You might also want to consider using the Night mode. This mode uses a slow shutter speed to allow the background to illuminate, then fires the flash to illuminate the subject. Easyshare will not charge battery

It's not supposed to. The CX7430 is a camera, not a battery charger. If you want to use rechargeable batteries with it, you must charge them outside the camera, or use the dock.

My Camera has recently stopped the transfer from Camera to PC after being OK for years?

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

1. The batteries may need replacement. Somedigital cameras continue to function when their battery power is low, but produce grainy photos with incorrect coloration. Make sure you aren't using Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries, which are generally not recommended for cameras. 2. For the best picture quality, make sure the camera is set to its highest resolution. This may have been adjusted by accident. The process for doing this varies greatly among different digital cameras. Keep in mind that fewer photos will fit in the camera's memory and it will probably take longer to transfer them to the computer, at a higher resolution. 3. Digital photography tends to be more prone to blurring (caused by slight movement of the camera while the photo is taken) than 35mm film, especially with very small or lightweight digital cameras. To remedy this, try using a tripod and/or the camera's timer, if it has one. Adjust the camera's shutter speed if possible. 4. If colors are too pale, using an image editing/viewing program (such as PictureWorks MediaCenter) to increase the Saturation level may be helpful. If the camera has produced colors which are entirely wrong (everything is in shades of black and purple, for example), you can turn the saturation all the way down so that it becomes a black & white photo. 5. The lens may need cleaning. Make sure you use a cleaning material which will not scratch the lens. If possible, refer to its manual for specific cleaning instructions1_30_2013_6_40_51_pm.jpg
