Well all you have to do is open the CPU tower and locate the jumper ....there will be 3 pins all you have to do id remove the the cover from the first pin and put it in the second pin and restart the system this step should resolve the problem

if your pretty computer savvy,and can solder it's not to hard. open up your computer and locate the jack,you will see where it's soldered in just heat it up with your soldering iron ease it out and solder your new one in.you can get a new jack on ebay or amazon their inexpensive you can probably find how to videos on youtube hey you learn by doing,just take your time.hope this helps
