The back Slash would be above the ENTER key and the @ sign can be accessed by holding SHIFT and pressing number "2"
In case you are not able to get the desired keys normally. It is possible that there may be something stuck between the keys. I would suggest you to kindly remove the keys and clean the base.

My numerlock key is on
Usually with the Numlock key on the keyboard.
You can sometimes set it to off in the bios settings of the computer.
Press del or F2 or which ever key gets you in to the bios as soon as you switch
the computer on, before Windows starts.
Just look through the settings for something like Keyboard Numberlock - On Off.
Set it to off and save the settings and exit, usually by using the F10 key.
No need to change any other settings, because if you are not used to it, it can cause problems
Next time you switch on it should be off.

I cannot find out how
There can be several ways to enable/disable audio on a computer.
The sound may be muted within the operating system.
In Windows XP:
Click Start -> Control Panel(or Settings -> Control Panel).
Click Switch to Classic View in the top-left corner.
Open Sounds and Audio Devices.
Verify the volume and verify Mute is NOT checked.
Click the Audio tab.
Verify there is a Default Device.
Click the Volume button and make sure nothing is Muted.
If everything there checks out OK then check the Device Manager.
In Windows XP:
Click Start -> Run
Type devmgmt.msc -> click OK
Verify there are no yellow exclamation or red x icons anywhere. Specifically in the Sound, video and game controllers section.
My @ symbol is stuck
Sounds like your keyboard in in UK mode, but is labeled for US. Or the other way.
In a UK keyboard, Shift+' (the key which is two spaces to the right of "L") should give you an @ sign.
Depending on your Operating System, you can use the CONTROL PANEL and REGIONAL SETTINGS to set the keyboard to be a USA keyboard, and then Shift+2 will give you an @ sign.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout is a good reference for keyboard layouts.
How do i get the
It depends on the keyboard. If your physical keyboard does not match the language set by the operating system, the wrong information will appear when you type certain keys.
For US English keyboards, @ is shift+2.
For UK keyboards, @ is shift+' (the key which is two steps to the right of the "L" key.)
For French "AZERTY" keyboards, @ is the right-Alt key and 0 (zero)
Ensure that your operating system is set to know which kind of keyboard you are using, who what you see matches the keys on the keyboard. For example, in Windows 7, this is Control Panel -> Region and Languages.
