I have the X322BV-HD and with no warning had the same thing happen. I"ve scoured the net and found very little--just as here on this site. I just got off the phone with a tech support rep at sceptor and got the following information: HOW TO DO A FACTORY RESET:

1. (Tech said this will often work even though you won't see anything on the screen--as long as the blue light is still on!) On the remote, press [MENU] and then 3 - 6 - 9 - 8 (If it's accepted, the TV will turn itself off.)
2. Wait 10 seconds.
3. Turn the TV back on and it will be back to all factory defaults.

That didn't work for me. But the second option, a Power Cycle Reset did. POWER CYCLE RESET:

1. Unplug the power cord and wait 10-15 minutes (extremely important, I used a timer set for 16 minutes just to be sure).
2. While it is still unplugged, press and hold the [POWER] button for at LEAST 30 SECONDS - DO NOT RELEASE!
3. While continuing to hold the [POWER] button, plug the TV back in.

The second option worked for me and it's back on working just fine. Hope this helps!

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Make sure the top and back of it are not dirty or obstructed, it sounds like it is overheating and shutting down to protect itself. Or your main power board is going out.

The internal power supply inside your tv is defective.

The Sceptre is a fine TV but is very sensitive to power surges. If the unit turns off, soon after powering on, it is most likely the power supply. Try disconnecting the power to the unit for 20 minutes and allow to completely cool down. Re-connect the power and try the unit. Hope it works for you

HelloThe power supply regulator board to your set has the fault. If you try to open the set, or try to repair it by yourself, the warranty will void. The set must have warranty as it is new. Why do you spend for it? Just contact the nearest authorised service center for Sceptre. the components in this set will be very hard to get from open electronic spare part market, and will costly too.

Could be the tcon or main brd. The t con may not be available. Probably replacing tv would be cheaper that fixing.

Audio output section circuit to your TV should be checked. It will be best to replace the audio output board, as card basis, rather than trying to make any 'surgery' on it. You have to ask about this to the authorized service center for Sceptre. If the set is under warranty period, either thy should repair it and send back to your, or must give you an other TV of the same model. Why should you wait for? google.com/+GopakumarGopalan
