Have a good read of the owner manual as answer should be there or take the time with the model number and CALL LG customer service and have them step you thru the unlock process.I bet it is covered in the owner manual.

Instructions

I think, you have to downgrade the firmware:get original firmware (I dont'now where) anduse RS232 cable to PC with nullmodem cableIn case "bricked TV" I solved this way it was 32LH3000

You can buy an indoor antenna or you can mount one on your roof top. Find auto programm in the setup menu of the tv. Select antenna not cable and select auto program. The number of stations will depand on location. You may have to rotate the antenna. If this doesn't get you more than 3 stations you may have a tuner problem and need to replace the main board in the tv.

It is usually pretty easy to address the remote to the TV. Here are some codes to do it!! I hope it helps!!

1. Hold down the clear TV button until all lights light up at the top of the remote
2. Punch in a 3 digit code (provided below)
3. Press the # (POUND) button
4. Try powering the tv on/off, and the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over from step 1 with a different code

I'm assuming that you don't live in one of those areas where the frequencies have been changed so different antennas should be used.
This has nothing to do with the tv, it's all about the signal strength coming from the tower and how sensible the tv's tuner is. Since the old tv's which were designed to be used with an antenna and have a more sensitive tuner haven't detected the channel, the chances of a newer tv (designed to be used mainly with a cable so less sensitive) to detect it are effectively nil.
You will need a much better directive antenna, that will have to be installed on the house and tuned toward the emitting tower of this channel - search for it if you don't know where it is.

The only way you can connect external speakers to this model is to connect to the TV via the headphone jack this way no matter what you are watching DVD, TV, VCR the audio will pass through. Most TV's now do not have speaker outputs as it saves a little money on production. Good Luck : )

That is normal operating mode when using the headphone jack. The only way for you to do this without cutting the sound from the speaker so you can hear the sound (if your remote headphone has the Line level input), is to use the audio line out (WHITE and RED RCA jacks) to feed the remote headphone unit.

This is the Power Board for it. check those 6 electrolytic Capacitors on the right for bulging or splitting. Don't buy it blindly, it's a guess.
