if you own your own wifi router, please go to the settings and set the wireless access to Open. This is not advisable to prevent people from snooping/leeching on your wifi, probably drawing considerable bandwidth at best or causing destruction to property at worst.

the default router password is admin, no username. if that didnot work, possible that the router password is change during initial set up. try your own personal password

wireless password is different from the router password. if you enable the router wireless security and you dont know what it is, you can access the router setup page and go to the wireless security tab to get your wireless password

My first instinct is to do a hard reset of the device, if you haven't done this yet. To do this you need to press and hold the reset button on the back of your device for 10 seconds. This will completely reset your device back to factory. Of course, you will loose all security settings, and these will need to be re-entered into the router.

Seems to be that you have cable modem from Scientific atlanta.

1. Turn off the modem and the router.
2. Connect the modem to router with ethernet cable on internet port
3. and computer to router's port no 1.
4. power up your modem and wait for 2 minutes
5. then power up your router and wait for 2 minutes and try to go online on computer.
6. If not , then reset your linksys router by pressing your reset button at the back of the router with help of a pen for 10 sec.
7. then follow the steps again 1 to 5
8. try to go online.
9. if still not , the open up a browser on computer
10. type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and hit enter on the key board
11. leave the user name blank and type admin in the password box
12. click on subtab of mac address clone under set up tab
13. click on enable and click on clone my pc's mac tab.
14. then click on save settings.
15. and follow the step 1 to 5.

if you are trying to find 8 digit number on your t.v. then you need to go to wlan settings on your t.v. and click on wireless protected setup . there , now you will able to see your 8 digit pin

I think you should check the wireless settings of your router.If your wireless network is secured then just make sure that you have the correct network password.See how to find wireless network key.How many wired and wireless computers or devices do you have in the network?How many are able to connect to the wireless network?
