Don't know my password
Hello,
If you are looking for your wireless security code, you can verify it by accessing the router's interface.
Open a browser and go to 192.168.1.1 by default the password is admin. Go to Wireless and then Wireless Security just copy your wireless security settings and enter in on your MAC's wireless settings.

Wireless connection will not work
The computer is viewing the signal, but its not connected yet. For that you have to enter a "key" in hexadecimal format. In other words you have to configure the security of the wireless connection on the router, then you have to enter the "key"that the router gives you. To enter the administrative configuration of the router, connect with the cable the computer and in the internet browser, enter 192.168.0.1 or search for gateway IP address of the computer. There you configure Wireless Settings. Always use encryption for security reasons. WEP encryption will be good.

D-link access point is closed, how can I repair it personally?
You would have to connect it via RJ45 and burn new firmware into unit. The firmware would be downloaded into the computer that is connected to the access point, remember what directory you have placed the new firmware into. You will have to access the unit via windows explorer with it's http, some units through their respective manufacturers have unique address for each particular model. In case you have lost your password or other settings, reset the unit to defaults by using the reset button appropriately. The manual will show you the rest. Good luck.

Redirecting
Alright, here's a FixYa if I've ever done one. We use a couple of products. This one will tend to knock your socks off, if you only need a single antenna.
www.open-mesh.com $50 gets you a wireless router that will do splash screen and redirect. For each element of $50 you can add units. They tend to be private, so if you're gaming via wireless, it's going to be difficult to share the network.
Give it a try.

WRV54G Linksys router right out of box
Do you have DSL or cable? Try resetting your router. Press the reset button on the back of the router and hold it it for about 5 seconds. When the router comes back up type in the router address: 192.168.1.1. If your ISP is using cable, make sure that you have DHCP enabled. If DSL, you will have to put in your username and password given to you by your ISP and you will have to enable PPPOE on your router.

My Linksys Wireless A P only allows one computer to connect
You need to get a router in order to share the Internet connection. The
existing Internet connection (from the DSL/cable modem for instance)
goes into the WAN port of the router/firewall, then you connect the AP
to one of the LAN ports.
Today it is often a better idea to buy a wireless router instead, i.e a
router with built-in wireless AP. They are very inexpensive.

I lost my encryption key password
As far as I know there is no way to retrieve a lost encryption key password. All I am aware that you can do is to re-set the router to factory defaults and pretty much start from scratch. I am sure not what you wanted to hear.

I have airtel brodband connection but today i
get the default ip address of the router which is either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
Should be stated on the underside of the router or in the manual of the router.
Open your web browser ( internet explorer or firefox )
Delete everything out of the address bar and then enter the ip address of the router into the address bar including the dots ie 192.168.1.1 and then press enter
It should prompt you to login
the default login is admin as the username and click on ok ignoring the password field.
Otherwise it will be admin as the password and ignoring the username field and click on ok
This should take you to the web based configuration interface where you can configure all the settings for the router with regards to wireless , the ISP settings etc.
If you are unsure of what to configure in there post back with what your ISP advises to configure and I can help further.

Computer does not see PCI card
Run a viral check on the card, as the fact that the malfunction occurred while on a public hotel's wifi,
leads me to the belief that you have been hacked with a keylogger.
Just to make sure, you might want to obtain another PCI card as a check, since you have already done everything I would have suggested, including reinstallation, and thereby have eliminated all but
the internal functioning of the card as suspect.

Cannot connect to internet
you might need to reinstall the driver for your wireless adapter
Do these steps
-shut down your computer
-reseat your wireless adapter back to PCI slot
-turn on your PC
-Your PC should be able to detect your wireless adapter as a new hardware
-put your driver CD back to install your driver.
tada ..
