Open the boom. It will start to blink and then change to blue if it isn't paired to a phone. if it is paired and a known device is in range it should connect. Mark Motorola Support

Does the unit still work despite the light not working? If so then the LED probably just burnt out. You cant really fix this withought a working knowledge and tools for sodering. Even still its so tiny and done by machine. If the whole unit doesnt work then it may just be dead. The batteries in BT ear pieces rarely last beyond a year. Holding the power button for ten seconds may reset it similar to a computer.

Does the light come on when you plug it in? Are you sure the charger is working?

You cant, best thing is to get heat shrink tubing and put it on if there is anything left to cover
