When have my Canon EOS 1100D for a bit longer turned on horizontal lines appear

Blue Pictures mean that you are on the Manual Setting and you have White Balance set to Warm Florescent. Number 1 tip, read the manual twice with the camera in your lap. For the lines, it needs to go back to the eBay seller, because it is broken, or you send it to a Canon Service Centre.

Canon T3 flash flutters and does not take pictures help!

The 'fluttering' is a pre flash used to help the camera focus in low light. The internal flash isn't a powerful flash and is usually only good enough for subjects up to about 2m away in reasonable light also to light a subject that is back lit. Try putting the camera in manual mode (M) 1/60sec on f5.6 flash popped up review it and make adjustments accordingly i.e. open up or shut down the aperture as the flash usually syncs at 1/60

Why does my camera not capture any picture? Whichever mode I use, it does not capture any picture regardless of how many times I click the button.

Flash flicker is the camera trying to get enough light to focus, It occurs when you press the shutter release part of the way down. Try the same thing outside, ensure you press the shutter real ease all the way down. If it still does not fire, switch the lens to manual focus (sliding switch on the side of the lens, move from A to M) If the camera shoot then, the camera is struggling to auto focus.

Why would my Auto focus mirror not folding up completely.

The mirror is designed to fully swing from top to bottom with out any interference unless something was jammed inside. If you are shooting with the lens off and watching the mirror only partially open something is jammed and needs repair. To test this put the camera in Manual mode ( M on the mode selector dial) Set the shutter speed to 1/4 of a second and press the shutter button. Having a slow shutter will allow you to see if it is fully opening and closing. If you are making this assumption based on seeing images that have only a portion of the frame exposed, then the most likely scenario is you are taking pictures with the flash on at a shutter speed greater than 1/250 of a second. This causes the flash to fire before the shutter is fully open and therefore only part of the frame is exposed. Google "Shutter Sync Speed". Good Luck

I'm having trouble trying to change the aperture on Manual mode

Use the wheel next to the on/off switch. It should be at normal position for your right thumb. Make sure the On switch is all the way up to the line, past the first on-setting. This enables the wheel.

T3 built in flash won't pop up. Says I have an external flash attached, but I don't.

There is a small flat leaf spring under the hot shoe rail where an eternal flash slides in. If an external flash is mounted the leaf spring is pressed against a small button telling the camera that there is an external flash mounted. Take a toothpick and rub under the hot shoe rail gently to more the leaf spring or unjam the leaf spring. You may even see the button depressed, poke at it a time or two with a toothpick, even a drop of rubbing alcohol may unstick this button if a sticky beverage sprayed on it.

Im using a canon eos 1100D my pictures are dark when im using the built in flash

The range on your pop up flash is only about 15 feet, if your subject is further than that they will be underexposed. Try bumping up your ISO, also you can increase your flash exposure compensation by as much as two stops.

How do I use flash to freeze motion on a canon 1100D

flash will only completely freeze motion in total darkness. It is then that the duration of the flash is acting like your shutter speed even if you shot on bulb.

Canon Rebel T3 won't transfer pictures to pc. Plugged in to pc and camera. turn on camera and nothing. pull up EOS utility and still nothing. Camera blinks red once and then nothing.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use the EOS Utility or any other photo management program, such as Picasa. Organize edit and share your photos
