Forgot system pass word for dell insprion laptop

heres directions on resetting in safe mode if the battery fails

Hold F8 as the computer boots before the os boots and then select Safe Mode option (not the others) The computer will boot up from here, but there should be an additional "Administrator" account. Log in to this account (There shouldn't be a password, but if there is, try "admin") and navigate to the User account panel in control panel. From there, select your account name, and select the "Remove Password" option

I bought a second battery (standby as I am going to Africa) for my Inspiron, charged it for about 10 hours until it indicated it is full. However, the power light has been flashing red since. Even whe

Flashing red indicates that the battery is non-functioning (at the end of its ability to hold a charge), although as it is a new battery, this would seem a bit odd.Did you buy the battery new or 2nd hand, was it a genuine Dell battery? My suspicions are that if this is an aftermarket battery and one which was not compatible with the dell, then there might have been some damage done to the laptop, causing the old battery not to charge. I'm assuming you are using a genuine Dell charger

Dell inspiron said battery low plug into charger, when plugged in charger light goes out and laptop will not power on, why?

Remove the main battery from the laptop and try power, if it works the battery is bad, if no change the charger needs to be checked for proper voltage. Since your laptop is less than a year old you should have warranty for up to the year, check this asp and find your paperwork should verify.

Dell Inspiron N5030 refuses to

The first thing to check for is loose ram, battery, a loose hard drive or any loose cards.
Pop the cover off the bottom, reseat the ram battery and hard drive and try booting again.

If that does not work try booting off a copy of Puppy linux on a live CD. Puppy runs only in ram and will allow you to bypass a bad hard drive to get a system running. Puppy also has system testing tools that you can check your hard drive with.

Hello my Dell inspiron has

Try connecting an externalmonitor to the Dell Inspiron and see if the white screen is also presenton the monitor. If the monitor display is fine, then your laptop's LCD displaypanel is defective. If the monitor also displays the white screen, then yourproblem is with either the video card or motherboard located inside yourlaptop. Also try booting the computer in safe mode by tapping the key when you turn it on. If it works that way you might have a video software driver issue.

Contact Dell and have them ship you a replacement CD/DVD Drive. It is very easy to replace. Ask them for instructions or a web site to show you how. They will ask for a credit card # to be sure you send the old one back. For the trouble of doing it ask for a free year of anti-virus or something of value.

How do you install a hard drive

Larry provides great answer up there ^^^ which is better down here. Larry Ng Jun 23, 2022 NO PC told (dell has 10000 models) no OS told, windows what"? no drive told. my wild wild guess is the boot drive is locked. and you are attempting and ******* act. to it. like deleting key parts of a running OS (windows) (like deleted tires on rims of 85mph moving car, fails) no real goal told, but the nebular "install HDD" one can add a 2nd drive easy or any of 1000s of external HDD models or external or internal, SSD or even a thumb drive. (vast) (just 2 steps in fact) but the boot drive , change out is far far far more complex. and you never not told that. you want to mess with the C: drive? now let me guess the real goal (sad I must) the OS drive windows is failing ( common) and some lil' bird told you it needs a new boot drive, and then fail to say so here. okay I will bite. 1: buy a new SSD (hdd fail and are slow) 2: buy a new OS, from MS. or get free w10. (ask how) 3: then put in new SSD, 4: run the w10 installer media (it is free) 5: load w10 to the SSD fresh 6: answer the silly 30 questions it asks. 7: and click activate. (buy it) ..
