Have a jam error. paper folds in front of print

Start a print from tray 1/manual feed and just as the trailing edge of paper is entering the machine; quickly open it to stop print and take out the cartridge and look at the drum and the paper underneath. If the issue is there at that point then it would point to the cartridge. If not then it is in the fuser area.

Toner marks on the paper

This could be caused either by the rollers slipping or by dirty rollers. You can try cleaning the printer (instructions here: http://www.office.xerox.com/userdoc/P840/P840man/840.38.html#42766). If that doesn't work you can try using a rubber rejuvenator product on the rollers. Over time the rollers get hard and the rejuvenator basically moisturizes it.

A band of dry toner appears on each copy

Three possible problems. Firstly, if it is a single mark, always in roughly the same place, it may well be a mark on your platen glass, sometimes the mark is not obvious, in fact a scratch on the surface of the glass can be enough. It is easy to check where the mark is on the glass in relation to where it is on your original. Second and third solution would be if the defect were repeating every so often down the page. In this case it is likely to be either your fuser, or your drum. If the fuser is at fault, it is sometimes possible to clean it by running a dozen blank sheets through which may lift the toner from the it. If that doesn't work, you will need to replace it. If it is the drum, all you can do is replace it.
Hope this helps.

After turn it on, the

To reset the H4 condition on your XD125F series copier press the following key's in sequence and as quickly as possible (with 4 seconds for the first 4 keys)
Press "C" then the far left key (exposure mode) then the "C" key then the far left again.
So in other words C, far left, C, far left
If done correctly the display should go blank.
Now key in 14 as if you were going to make 14 copies.
Now press the print button.
The machine should reset and the code should be gone.
9 times out of 10 this is a false code that pops up due to power surges or noise.
If the code comes back this means you have a heater lamp or thermal fuse (more common) failure in the fusing area and will need service.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

FIND THE METER

Hold down the C key for a few seconds. You will get sets of numbers flashing. Put them together for the meter. So an 09 followed by an 60 then a 70 would be a meter reading of 96, 070 copies.

Help

There is a gear on the end of the fuse that is bad.
Google a business called The Parts Drop.
You can order that part there, less then $20 from them. No I do not work for them LOL, But deal with them often.
If you need instructions on how to replace that gear let me know.
It's not difficult to replace. And that is the problem. Guarantee it 100 percent.
J1 is a different issue. J1 means your out of toner.

Will print one page only.

Hi,
Thanks for using Fixya.
(i) E2 is a paper jam problem.
(ii) Check that the paper guides in the cassette are positioned aginst the paper properly.
(iii) Also remove the toner and drum cartridge. Clean all rubber rollers that you can get to with a damp cloth ( water).
(iv) You are especially trying to clean the upper and lower registration rollers that "pinch" the paper.
Good Luck and have a nice day.

Xerox WorkCentre XD125F- need manual

You can get the spec sheet and the user's guide as PDFs here:
http://www.support.xerox.com/go/results.asp?prodID=XD125f&Xlang=en_US&Xcntry=USA&Xtype=docs&prodName=WorkCentre%20XD125f%20Digital%20Copier%20-%20Laser%20Printer
The spec sheet has the toner cartridge and drum cartridge part numbers (listed as Supplies)

Toner Cartridge 6R914;
Drum Cartridge 13R551

When copier has printed about 18,000 pages the J2 drum cartridge light will come on. The unit will print about another 1,000 pages before the unit stops working until the drum cartridge is replaced.

I hope this helps.

The printer has an E2 error and will not clear.

A bad chip on the toner cartridge will cause that.
I don't think a drum chip will, But I do know a toner cartridge can cause that problem.
