Zebra zm4 won't print labels all the way.

Please check your driver settings, you will probably find that you have the printer set to use the 2x2 labels instead of the 2x4

PRINT "LOOPING"

My problem is listed on this site as well. I have found my problem to be the HP Jetdirect. When I have tested the same print job on the same model printer but using either the the Zebra Net Printerserver II (kindly loaned to us by UniqueID for this testing) or one of our units that has a wireless cisco card the job terminates correctly. I need to know what the difference is between a Z4m and a Z4m Plus.

Mechanically there isn't much difference. Electronically the 4Mplus replaced the 4M giving it more memory, ZPLII capabilities, and the ability to work with new barcodes and fonts that weren't supported by the 4M firmware.

My zebra 4M+ get me a cutter jammed status

Sometimes debris builds up in the bottom of the cutter assembly preventing the cutter from going all the down. There is a switch inside the cutter which trips the "jammed" error if the cutter can't go all the way down. The cutter can be removed and disassembled to remove the problem. Caution should be exercised. There are washers and springs on the cutter face plate guide screws which have to be removed.

Zebra Z4M only feeds a small portion of the label.

You should try a factory reset. Power off the printer. Hold the "pause" and "feed" buttons down while powering up. Allthe lights will blink and when they stop blinking, release the "pause" and "feed" buttons. This will factory reset the printer.

Z4MPlus Ribbon wrinkles causing lines diagonally across label.

Could be down to tension on the ribbon roller/spool. Check to see if you have pulled out the end part of the spool (black bit) that should ensure there is back tension on the ribbon.

My Zebra Z4M printer's power, pause and error light are all constantly on.

Possibly the head open sensor is dirty and causes the LEDs light on. Clean the sensors and the plaque that is above them. Roberto Martinez Mexico [email protected]
