The printer works but skips labels sometimes and

make sure the printer is calibrated. It should feed 1 label only. If it does not default it to force a calibration. hold pause and feed while off then turn on, count to 6 and release the buttons. You also need to set label height and width in the printer driver. Both zebra designer and zebra universial. goto printers and faxes and right click on your printer driver chose properties, this opens up on the general tab.

Configuration changes for current job and Default Configuration changes
There are two places in the driver configuration to change print configuration. In Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP, go to the "General" tab and click the "Printing Preferences..." button. This menu of configuration parameters are the settings that are in effect for the current print job. Any changes made here will only affect the current, or next, print job. These settings are initialized for each print job from the configuration defaults.
Go to the "Advanced" tab and click the "Printing Defaults..." button. The displayed configuration menu describes the default settings for the driver. These settings are used to set the initial "Printing Preferences..." for new print jobs. It is a convenient place to set parameters that seldom change in you environment. Commonly set default parameters include Printer firmware, Media Settings, Device Options, and Page Size.
On Windows NT, these menus are available when you right click on the printer name in the Printers folder. The pop-up menu contains selections for "Printer Settings" and "Default Settings" which take you to these screens in the driver.

Zebradesigner for xml ''error in processing zpf and lvr files''

Somehow, the correct printer driver is not installed when setting up Zebra Designer for XML.

To fix it, clck on "Start->All Programs->Zebra Designer for XML->Add Printer".

A wizard opens, select "Next" and choose the printer you are designing labels for. Click on "Next".

Select "Update existing printer driver(s)". The driver gets updated and voilá!, now you can export your label desgins.

Zebra z4m printhead: recurrent bleed marks on

Hello,

It sounds to me like your Printhead is bad or is going bad. Have you tried cleaning your PH? If not you can try cleaning it with alcohol and a swab just be sure that the printer is off and unplugged and don’t touch the face of the Printhead with your fingers. If you have rubber gloves or surgical gloves please use them.

If this doesn’t help then you will need to replace. I carry brand new print heads in stock and offer a limited 30/day warranty for them. The normally run about 4 to 5 thundered dollars but I can supply my print heads at a fraction of the cost.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks

Printing loop

Hello,

Have you tried sending print jobs thru the parallel port only? I think it has to deal with your jetdirect box. You can try reseting that as well.

My Zebra Z4M stopped rewinding the used liner

This could be something simple like not having rewind (peel) selected in the setup menu. Or you could have a bad rewind motor or main logic board. Remove the cover and make sure no plugs have come loose. There isn't an easy way to check the motor or logic board unless you have a spare that you can swap.
