it's tight to turn because spider gasket is not correct size , if correct new old stock gasket cant be found then entire body of muliport valve needs to be replaced with modern equivelent this will involve draining down water from entire filter section as glue needed to install doesnt like wet pipes too much and wont stick well leading to leaks , if your not 100%comfortable in doing this your self then a trusted pool service co needs be contacted ,plus who knows maybe they got the org gasket you need?

There is a port for it where the waste line is attached. It screws into the side of the valve body.

There should be a screw hole in the valve lid that has a flat edge on one side (outside edge). The valve body has a matching flat edge that aligns with it.In the event the handle was removed from the lid and diverter to replace the diverter o-rings it is not uncommon for people to put the handle back on the diverter 180 degrees of where it should be. The pointer on the handle should be aligned above the open port of the diverter. This is true of all multiport valves except the Hayward four way valve.

This is a tough question because it is hard to find this info on the web and a different port is used for DE filters and sand filters. On sand filters the top port of the filter is the inlet while on DE filters the bottom port is the inlet. With the valve not connected to the DE filter and in the FILTER position determine which port allows water to flow to the bottom outlet of the filter. This can be easily determined by running water from a hose into the bottom port and whichever is the pump port will have water coming out of it. A similar test can be done for the other ports. from this link, I found that the nut part is the "Bulkhead nut" part 154412
If not, you can refer to the exploded view to pin point the exact part and the part number (description part - the one you need to refer the part when purchasing online)

Sometimes its a simple Power Cycling that's needed. Fancy term for going to the outdoor pool panel, flipping all the breakers to off, counting to 10, then turning them back on again. Hope this helps

I found it to be a dirty filter. I wasn't getting the error 5 code just ADO and 5f1

Yes, the water must be circulating rapidly when the heater is on from being cold. Once hot, it can just circulate gently.

Usually resetting the 'Service' breaker on the main control box resolves this. If not, even though your remote receives data, you may still want to replace batteries in the remote. Next would be a faulty remote transceiver board ( cheaper to replace than the next item), in the unit with the antenna, or the mother board (the more expensive item).

make sure gas pressure is correct if too low it will overheat or possible blocked burner tubes
