Sounds like a dead spot at the centre position i.e. the wiper of the pot not contacting the track at that position. Try some contact cleaner / lubricant & whizz it back & forth a good few times, take it in for repair/replacement of the pot or leave it just off centre or use a different channel :-') Good Luck!
It Depends how many Channels you are wanting for a basic 2 deck set up using Cdj's you would want 4 channel 2 per deck 1 master out and 1 booth so you can hear it through your head phones but if you were doing Karaoke you would want 6 channels for 2 microphones all going 2 the master out. but it changes again if us software and controller because most software has an internal and external mix mode. Here is a video that might help
Check the 5 volts to the FX unit, If the voltage is low, the FX processor will keep reseting generating clicks, In a different product, the 5 volt filter cap was degraded and voltage dipped down to 4.5 volts causing resets.
First analysis needs to be done to isolate what can be discovwered before opening the unit. Does the sound appear in BOTH sides of the headphones? There are MANY components that can kill the right side including cracked circuit board. Beyond a certain point one would use an oscilloscope to troubleshoot.
The VR96 is a 50K "G" taper or "graphic taper" pot. Lots of luck trying to find that in a catalog... I finally got a scrapped piece of mixer board and salvaged one. The G taper is not stocked by any of the vendors like Digikey or Mouser here. Full Compass is the Behringer part distributor and I waited 6 months and got no delivery of one of these pots. The effects selector is a rotary encoder quadrature type. Use the Mouser.com catalog. Search for Encoder, then select ALPS manufacturer and then try to match up mounting and type using the spec drawings... with push switch also... Again, if you want to try Full Compass, you can call Behringer rep in Woodinville WA USA to get the Behringer part number and incident number to see if Full Compass might have one in stock.
Here is the maintenance schematics for your unit...VR96 is on page 7 of 32. :
You can use the compressor in two ways. 1st you can go inline from the main outputs into the compressor out of the compressor to the rest of the world using normal cables. You may also insert the compressor into the main inserts using a cable that is tip, ring, sleeve 1/4", to seperate 1/4" tip sleeve mono plugs. any more questions give us a call at the store 215-736-8055
If more than one input is bad, then problem has NOTHING to do with the preamps. Check list:
1. Make sure you are using BALANCED lines everywhere... either XLR or TRS cables.
2. Make sure ALL interconnected equipment, mixers, amps, powered speakers, CD players, etc. are ALL powered from the SAME receptacle or power distribution unit.
3. Do proper setup. Select each channel PFL and set the trims so the indicator never goes into clipping, but is in the 70% range during max volume input to mics, etc..
4. During operation the sliders should be at least 50% up on used channels and the mains. Setting of levels throughout the system is important for noise free operation. Using EXCESS gain at some point results in distortion and noise. Using sliders near the bottom position results in poor signal to noise ratio.
Now re-read #2 above... and believe it. I have seen a lot of equipment blown due to ground bounce of building power. That is why the pro's run power back to their mixer from the area where the amps are powered.
You will need an oscilloscope and a good grounding in electronic servicing to attempt a repair.
But, check the signal routing. Refer to the user manual.
It sounds like you're experiencing a couple of issues with your Behringer Xenyx 1204FX mixer. Let's address each of these problems separately:
DSP Display Not Illuminating: The fact that the DSP display works when you press down and turn the knob suggests that the issue might be related to the display itself or its connection. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Check Power Source: Ensure that the mixer is receiving proper power and is turned on. Sometimes display issues can be caused by power-related problems.
Connection: Make sure the ribbon cable or connector that connects the display to the circuit board is properly seated. A loose connection could be causing the display to not illuminate.
Faulty Display: If none of the above steps work, there might be a problem with the display itself. You may need to contact Behringer support or a professional technician to get the display repaired or replaced.
AUX 1 Send Not Working: If the AUX 1 send is not working as expected, there could be several reasons for this:
Routing Settings: Make sure that the AUX 1 send is properly routed to the desired destination. Check the routing options on the mixer to ensure that the signal is being sent to the correct output or destination.
Level Controls: Verify that the level controls for AUX 1 are set correctly. Make sure that the AUX 1 knob for the specific channel you're working with is turned up.
Effects/Processing: If you're trying to send a signal with effects applied, check if the effects are set up correctly. Sometimes, an incorrect effect or routing setting can affect the AUX send.
Cable and Connections: Ensure that the cables connecting the AUX 1 send to external devices (such as monitors or effects units) are functioning properly and securely connected.
AUX Master Level: Confirm that the AUX 1 master level (usually located on the main output section of the mixer) is turned up to an appropriate level.
If you've gone through these troubleshooting steps and the issues still persist, it might be a good idea to consult the user manual for your Behringer Xenyx 1204FX mixer for further guidance. If the problems continue, you may need to reach out to Behringer support or consider seeking assistance from a professional audio technician or repair service.
Hello Geoff, try using an external processor and check that it works well, if so, the problem is that you have the Jack connectors of Effect sending and those of Return of Effects, dirty
Apply a couple of drops of oil, type WD40, to a Plug connector and insert and remove them repeatedly in each connector Jack for sending and returning effects
I hope you can solve the problem, comment the results
Greetings Franco Dosil
Saludos Franco Dosil

Check all the wiring connections on the speaker. Check the plug in points for the cables are not loose in the body of the speaker or the connector plugs themselves are not loose in the actual plug sockets.
Next you will need to get inside the speaker body to check the connections and soldered joints. Take a good look at the back of the cable plug sockets and to the back of the actual speaker cone connections. Check each wire at Both ends for damage. No sound at all suggests the issue might be at the 'Input' where the cable plugs into the back of the speaker body.
