Try to see if it's the amp responsible for the noise....ie, Is it caused by vibrations, or maybe static....especially in winter when it's dry. Your home power may have noise on the line, so borrow or rent a power conditioner which filters out noise. If that fails, go to 3. 3. Bite the bullet and pay a competent guitar tech/luthier to repair it. Most of these issues are due to loose/faulty connections. Should be less than an hour. Hey....It's a Martin. 3a. Crackling through amp occasionally

There are only a few things that could be responsible for your problem. Dirty volume knob on guitar or amp. Faulty ground on all affected parts; including cables. I suggest you plug into a different amp with a new chord, and see if the problem still exists. This way you can quickly eliminate compnents & focus on the actua lproblematic one. If it still exists..you can assume it'sin the pick-up.

My fishman clearwave 60 tuner will not give me a green light...it just jumps back and forth between sharp and flat, no matter how small the movement on the guitar key

You may have the tuner too far away from the guitar or the batteries may be going flat. Check to make sure that there is nothing blocking the microphone hole and that there is no other noises in the area which could be affecting what the tuner is hearing
