It is not going to work. Both wifi and ethernet are for internet connection only. Ethernet is much faster than wifi. Also there is possibility to damage tv by plugging ethernet cable which is connected device using POE (power over ethernet). You need to connect your dvr via hdmi, component or composite cable

Sounds like there was an accidental change to the brightness control. Try unplugging the TV overnight and see if it will reset to factory setup. If that doesn't work use your flashlight to see if you can get to the menu page for brightness and then move the control to the middle-- it will bring up the brightness. Also, you can try to find the menu item to reset all controls to the factory settings. Look in your manual or find the manual on-line.

DVD REGION FREE & BLUE-RAY REGION FREE To change the Region code on your DVD player, open Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager, and click on DVD/CD ROM drives, then right click on the DVD drive and click Properties then click on DVD Region. You can enter a new region and it also shows you how many changes have been made. NOTE you can make only 4 changes and the player will lock permanently on the 4th change.
